The conference was very interesting. I learned a lot about rocks and minerals.
The experience about luminosity was really fun and instructive. With the neons, the minerals
went all sorts of colours ; green, red orange, blue, yellow. Mario is a collectionner of rocks and
minerals since he was about 8 years old. Today, he gave his collection to the university of
Chicoutimi because it took too much place in his living room. The principals proprieties of
minerals are hardness, transparency, line colour, magnetism, sparkle, cleavage, colour,
fluorescence and effervescence. It was very interesting and
I wish he will come back at the school.
