Training |

|
Basic training, such as greenbreaking or gentling of a horse starts at $175/month. Horses in training are worked at least 4-5 times a week for about an hour at a time. Horses are kept according to the boarding package chosen, listed in the link below. Total price of training is training plus boarding.
Any horse trained must also have a minimum of 4 lessons with his owner. |

After a horse has been obstacle and sensory trained, they will willingly, while mounted: Walk across a bridge; walk over a teeter totter; walk over a tarp; walk through a shredded tarp; hand a raincoat up to rider for rider to put on, also touch him all over with coat; have an open umbrella over his head; set off fireworks (blackcats) within 20 or so feet without horse moving, if standing, or without running off, if already moving; bounce children's balls off his legs and body; place swim noodles between his legs and all over body; walk up to a barrel with a plastic bag filled with coke cans, have rider bend over, pick up bag and carry to another barrel 15 feet away where rider will place bag down on other barrel; run hula hoops all over his legs; have pom poms rubbed all over body; and touch him all over with children's toy guns that make odd noises.
The length of time it takes to train a horse on obstacles and sensory depends on the temperment of horse, and riding ability of owner. Owner must also take 2-3 lessons after horse has received this training to ensure horse-rider relations. |

Boarding |

We offer a total care package. All boarding plans include: daily feed/hay/watering, worming every 8 weeks, feet trimming every 8 weeks, and annual shots*. The only other basic yearly care your horse will need that is not covered in the boarding fee is a coggins test*! We feed a 10% protein/4% fat sweet feed. Our property is 35 acres. All pastures are seeded with a bahia/jiggs mix. We have a pond with a small creek running from it. All pastures have either a barn or shelter to get into. Our arena is approx 140x200 and will comfortably ride 8-10 people. Next to the arena is a large covered/lighted pavillion to watch riders in the arena. We will be building a round pen in the next month or two. We are also hoping to purchase a hot walker in the near future. |
