List 1:  Irky Things

Things that just rub me the wrong way (in no particular order):

  1. "My Bad"
  2. Jared the Subway guy
  3. Changing toner/ink cartridges
  4. Being hung up on without hearing "good-bye" first
  5. Capital letters inappropriately in the middle of words
  6. Foods made with fungi (yes, I belong to the mushroom hatelist...I encourage all fellow nonfungus-eaters to join!)
  7. "O" words, such as "jack-o-lantern" or "filet-o-fish"
  8. Drinking fountains
  9. Cyan blue
  10. Spiders, ticks, snakes, bees, ants, mosquitoes, wasps, creepy crawlies, pests, bugs, anything that bites or buzzes or looks generally icky
  11. Jennifer Love Hewitt
  12. Hot tuna and all other fish
  13. Hard lefts (always avoid them)
  14. Spots on glasses (eyeglasses, that is)
  15. The Man Show
  16. Lightning
  17. Rubber band/staple wars
  18. Merchandise in the shape of money or with a money print on it (beach towel made to look like dollar bill; gift wrap with money print on it; etc.)
  19. Bobcat Goldthwait
  20. Substituting letters and numbers for words (U, 4, etc.)
  21. Eyeballs
  22. The word "eyeball"
  23. Walking barefoot
  24. Sound of balloon/dough can popping
  25. Sentences ending with "with"
  26. Wood objects in my mouth (toothpicks, Haagen Daaz spoons, etc.)
  27. Outdoors (makes me itchy)
  28. Periods outside quotation marks (unless in England while writing)
  29. Prime numbers
  30. Buddy list not in alphabetical order
  31. Lispy "s" sounds, especially on the radio, when it makes that whistling noise
  32. "OK" (versus "okay")
  33. The sound of gum snapping
  34. Paperclip on one sheet of paper
  35. "Breast of chicken strips"
  36. Candlebox
  37. The abbreviation for cooperative spelled without the hyphen
