Starting from the source. All the music is carefully screened and digitally rendered at the lowest possible compression to have nothing less than CD quality sound. MP3's are good for headphones, but when you play them through a large system, you hear the flaws which sounds "sizzley" or "shrieky", and will drive your guests out of the room.
The mixer and equalizers all balanced meaning less distortion, buzz and hum so there is less for the music to fight through to achieve high quality sound. Less distortion is more sound at lower volumes meaning we are able to put music where you want it to get the party moving!
Next comes the electronic crossover which splits the sound in to specific rangeds for the speakers. Each speaker has its own job, so unlike DJ systems which have just a large speaker on a pole to do everything, Ocean State Acoustics' system divides the sound three ways and delivers it to its specialized speaker.
The Speaker System is a culmination of almost 15 years of Loudspeaker Design, Psycoacoustics, and System Intergration Study. It incorprates supurb professional quality components into a compact and transportable package. All of the speakers electronics has been designed by the DJ (Michael Zisserson) to be of the highest quality with the lowest distortion possible. Since the system is extremely efficient, it allows us to use less power, yet have more output pound for pound than many other DJs. This also saves enegry and lessens the chance of blowing a circuit breaker during an event. Furthermore, since the system is low distortion, there is more sound available and lower volumes which will allow the guests who want to talk be able to be away from the dance floor while those who want to rock can have their fun too!
It does not stop there. Even the voltage the system is pluges into gets regulated and treated. The racks are carefully organized, kept clean, professional, and take up very little space so the attention stays on your event and not a birdsnest of wires or bulky equipment.
