TRADITIONAL CRAFTS.

Basket weaving, mat, baan making and hand fans from dates leaves are the traditional crafts of the district. Baskets and mats are also prepared from kunder grass, which grows naturally in this area. These crafts are practiced by women and children in the village and area concentrated in Kot Addu, Muzaffargarh, Alipur and Jatoi. About 3000 persons are engaged in this trade.
