Have you seen things out of the corner of your eye and turned your head to look and there is nothing there? Here is an account of my “experience” with spirits. I am in no way an expert, just interested. |

I first became “aware” of spirits when, as an apartment manager, I had residents complain about lights coming on with the light switch still off, people running upstairs in an almost vacant building, and items “moving” themselves. “I know you’re going to think we’re nuts,” said my assistant who lived in one of the two occupied apartments on the first floor, “but we hear people running up there. The open and close doors and bang into the walls...and sometimes we see lights floating in the air.” I told her to call me when it was happening, no matter how late, and we would investigate. She called late one night and she, her husband, my fiancé, my two kids and myself went to check it out. There was nothing there. We checked all the cabinets, rooms, and attics of all 4 vacant apartments on the second floor and the 2 vacant apartments below and found nothing. After that my son, Wyatt, started talking to “Rain.” Since we live in a territory close to an Indian reservation, we didn’t know if he was talking to an Indian spirit or to my grandmother, Lorraine. I searched online about ghosts and found www.ghostweb.com. I learned about orbs and ectoplasm and that you can photograph them with a digital camera. I moved a family into one of the vacant downstairs apartments in June of last year. I got a call from my assistant that it was happening again, even louder than before. So, our investigating team went upstairs again, armed with the digital camera and joined with two of the new residents. There was nothing in the first one. My fiancé kept saying, “Aw, come on ya’ll! How about if I bring my sleeping bag over and sleep here all night? Would that make you shut up about all this nonsense?” That’s when we photographed our first orb by the smoke detector. (To the left of where I’m standing taking the picture.) We moved our hands where the orb was seen in the viewfinder and felt something like static-electricity. While everyone was in the living room getting ready to leave, my fiancé decided to feel the other side of the wall. I was standing in the door when he ran up saying, “Get me out of here, I heard it talk.” He explained it as going through him and being all around his head, whispering something he couldn’t quite make out. A couple weeks after our investigation, we moved a family into the last downstairs apartment. A couple of days later, Mella, came to me and asked if anyone had ever said anything about weird things happening in the building. Instead of answering her, I asked, “Like what?” She said that the night before she had tied her dish towel on the stove and when she woke in the morning, it was laying next to the sink. She said she also swore she kept seeing a little girl with a pony tail watching her at the foot of her bed. I told her yes, we knew about it and to talk to them. I showed her the pictures and gave her the ghostweb website. |
