We walk this earth not knowing what our fate or life beholds for us.
Sometimes it�s a feeling of uneasiness that causes us to become afraid.
This past storm took away many homes, families, friends and dreams.
Many had their lives torn away within hours or simply minutes.
It washed away everything that was known and cherished.
But storms are apart of life that every child of God will endure.
Katrina
Although this storm was a major storm, it is also a challenge to rebuild lives and homes.
Therefore, we must find our strength and courage in the time of despair.
But before strength can evolve, we need encouragement from positive kindred.
These spirits thought of me as my hopes and dreams washed and blew away during and after the storm.
These spirits comforted me during my loss.
They reached out to me.
These warm spirits are my family. They first recognized and answered the call.
After Katrina
I remember how the storm also affected our lines of communication.
However, my love ones kept calling until they received notice from parents, grandmother, sister, aunt and self that I was okay.
Some even remained persistent in spite of the busy signals until I was able to answer and others used the email.
I am grateful to know that my family thought of me and wanted comfort in knowing that I escaped the devastation.
They understood the severity of this natural disaster and wanted to understand my pain and lost.
But most of all, they wanted to encourage me to stand tall.
Lastly, they communicated amongst themselves to show an expression of love and understanding.
The Calm After Katrina
When I look over my life experiences, I have not seen much representation of families as the Johnson Moody Crenshaw Family.
Especially, those who are there for love ones in the time of despair.
In my eyes, no other family can compare to my family.
My family has the kind of love that represents the Holy Trinity (the true love).
We represent the kind of love that is passed on from generation to generation.
I am blessed to be apart of the JMC family.
Thanks to all of my love ones.
