Ruth was born in Salem Missouri, she moved to Albany Ohio when she was around 12 years old. Ruth met and married James Norman Carrington at age fourteen. They raised four children. The first home they lived in was a home in the country on Manito Black top. This house had an electrical fire, and the family moved back to there home at 1511 Hillview Drive in Pekin Illinois. Then they moved to the other side of town on Henreitta Street. The home was to exspensive for our income at that time so we moved once again to the 1511 Hillview Drive home.

This is a photo of Ruth with her half brother, Rodney Brooks, who owns the Farm that Leonard, bought and remodeled. Rodney is a contractor, and his wife is a realitor. They buildt a new home on the acerage, and the old farm is deteriateing.
