| The Course of Nature 8/21/06 George Poulo So the servant of the owner came and said To him, 'Sir, did you not sow good seed in Your field? How then does it have tares?' He said to him, "An enemy has done this." Mat13:27-28a "How then does it have tares?" Where did the tares come from? There was a time when there was only wheat, only good. Before the fall God called everything that he made 'good'. There could not have been tares. The only blemish in the garden: a tree that if eaten or touched would make you die. But the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the Garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat of it, nor shall You touch it, lest you die.' Gen3:3 That tree was planted by the enemy. That tree was full of bad seed. Once it was eaten and touched, that tree contaminated all of nature changing its course and destiny. The seed of that tree produced cancers, viruses, the flu, toxins, poisons, weed, and tares. From the seed of that tree came tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, and earthquakes. That tree produced the counterfeit to all that God had created. Not only that, Adam and Eve who would have inherited all the blessings of God through obedience, now needed a Savior and Redeemer. All of the seed in Adam was now contaminated by the fall. Even Levi, who received tithes, paid tithes Through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still In the loins of his father when Melchizedek met Him. Hb7:9-10 Just as Levi was in the loins of Abraham three generations earlier as priests of God, there was also seed in Abraham from Adam that produced the fruitless Jews, birth defects, and wicked rulers. From the loins of Adam many wicked people have come to be. We in Christian circles speak of generational curses. How do they occur? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith Without works is dead also. Jm2:26 If the body without the spirit is dead then seed without the spirit is dead also. "The enemy has done this." Evil spirits attach themselves to seed causing people to be born with issues of anger and fear to homosexuality and impotence going from one generation to the next: all the result of a tree producing bad seed planted by the devil and eaten by Adam and Eve at the instigation of the devil. The world we live in is the consequence of the forces of good and evil, God and the prince of the power of the air, and it is only by being born again that man can regain his status and privileges as sons of God. The body is in need of redemption (Rm8:23) but until it is redeemed, we have to rely on faith and works to offset the consequences of the fall. Until Jesus returns and ultimately hands over all power back to the Father, our lives will be a battle of faith against evil spirits and evil matter. Not all spirits are evil and not all matter is evil. The tare is the work of the enemy and it has changed the course of nature and the course of history. Thank God for Jesus, our Redeemer and Lord, who has provided for us salvation by his blood and by his cross. At the end of the age the angels will separate the wheat from the tare, the good seed (people of the kingdom of God) from the bad seed (people of the evil one), and the tare will go into the lake of fire. Until then we are left in a battle where the forces of good and evil are at enmity with one another. It is our responsibility to promote the good by faith and works until we enter heaven's gate. Amen. |
