| Elijah�s Prayer 3/23/06 George Poulo Prophesy Confess your faults one to another, and pray One for another, that ye may be healed. The Effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man Availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like Passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that It might not rain: and it rained not on the earth By the space of three years and six months. And He prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the Earth brought forth her fruit. James5:16-18 "The fervent effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much...(has great power.)" Consider my servant Elijah. He prayed for the healing and salvation for the people of Israel. He prayed for a drought. Sin produces a drought. Sin produces famine. Why did God honor that prayer? He honored it because the people were in sin and needed to repent. It took the people three years and six months to repent in order to receive the rain and the harvest. What is sin? All unbelief is sin. Unrighteousness is sin. Knowing to do good and not doing it is sin. Sin is a respecter of persons. Sin is the transgression of the law. Consider my servant Elijah. How long do you wish to stay in the drought? Repent so God may send the rain and give you the harvest. Repent so that God may send forth the latter rain. Amen. |
