Apt with my PCP I am very sick with a cold of some sort.

Took off work I feel so sick. Q-day (stop smoking)

Attempted to work today it was a longgggg day.

Left work early my chest hurts and I can't breath. Went to the ER and feel so much better.

Stayed home from work and saw my Doctor again. There seems to be an obstuction in my lungs and my BP is up.

Took PFT's at Frederick Memorial Hospital. It was very easy. The results show no asthma but lung capacity has decreased.

Sleep Study at Sleep services of America. Wow all those wires and I was able to sleep. However the Tech said she does not know how I tossed and turned and snored sooo loud. I have Sleep Apnea.

Saw my PCP again. She is montering my Blood Preasure.

Went to first support group meeting at St. Agnes Hospital. My mom, dad and boyfriend went with me. We had a great time.

Saw the nutritionalist She was great. Had to pay $125.00 but that is for 6 months of her services after surgery. My boyfriend went with me again.

Had Psych evaluation done today. She too was very nice. She talked to my boyfriend and I about our relationship etc. and then she wished me luck on my surgery. I guess I am cleared.
I went to Sleep Services of America again for a follow up this time I slept with the cpap machine thing. I slept like a baby and woke right up and had so much energy the next day.

I am updating my page finally my boyfriend Ian and I have a computer to work on. I am getting excited about the surgery. Getting all the information from my PCP is a pain and after I get what I need I am off to find a better one. I just can't stand her. She was great all this time now when I need her I am getting blown off by her and her staff. Things are moving along.

Stayed home from work today had a bad migraine. Went to PCP and I am now going to have to take HBP medicine. It was 150-100 today. I am also on an antibotic for a upper respetory infection. Started my cpap machine last thursday it is working out great however it sometimes leaks by my eyes how annoying. MY PCP also told me she received a letter from the surgeon saying that I need to be on Cpap for a month and have my BP under controll oh and I also need an ultrasound done. In the meantime he is going to submit to the insurance company for approvall. My only concern is that they wont consider my notes good enough for 6 months doctor supervised diets. We will see. IF everything goes well it seems that I might have the surgery in December. That is ok with me. December 9th is the date I had the last time I tried to get surgery and December 30 is my birthday

I went to a support group meeting tonight and my dad came with me. (he is considering surgery) we were a bit late so we had to sit in the back. It gets so noisy in the meeting it was hard to hear everyone. Next time my dad and I are going to go bit early so we can sit up front. I had a good time tonight. Well till later.

The date is 12.16.03 .............I am soooooo Happy. I can not .. I am still in shock. This is finally happening. I have been walking and working on breathing. I want to loose some weight before surgery.

I went to a meeting last night it was great. I got a lot of information and it helped answer all my questions about pre op. My Aunt went with me I have had each one of my family members join me in this journey at some point. WE are all excited me mostly and they are scared but happy for me. Maybe there was a reason I did not get the surgery last year maybe this was ment to be. Well I had a great time at the meetings and I am on my way.

Took Boyfriends son out to breakfast after I got my gall bladder sono and some blood work drawn. Well I could barley breath sitting in that both it was so small. I just sat there thinking I can't wait till this is not a problem anymore.

I am pre Registered now. The woman I spoke to was great and very nice she had the surgery a in January and so far lost 115 lbs. She said that many employees at the hospital had the surgery and it is a great support system. Of course she also said that she would do it all over again. Just like most Post ops say.
