| To rid yourself of poison ivy juice after you are first exposed,
wash well with soap and water, then give yourself a sponge bath with rubbing
alcohol to thouroughly remove it. If rash or blisters have already erupted do
not use rubbing alcohol!! |
Crush jewelweed stems and the swollen nodes (not the roots) and
apply the juice to a poison ivy or poison oak rash. |
Use mugwort juice. |
Make a tea of decocted sweet fern using the fragrant leaves and
flower tops. Make a compress and use externally. This tea will stain
clothing. |
