| Many earaches are a result of colds and other congestion - Reduce mucous and plegm with a tea of goldenseal, purple coneflower, eyebright or elder flowers. | Try using a hair dryer on its lowest setting and held a good six inches away from the ear. Both the dry heat and the white noise help relieve earache pain. | A warm heating pad on the pillow may help mild earaches. | Use waarmed olive oil as pain relieving ear drops. |
| Make an infusion or tincture of mullien and use it as cold ear drops. | Use oil of fennel or bruised fennel seeds, applied externally to relieve pain. | Combine equal parts white vinegar and rubbing alcohol and put one or two drops in each ear three times a day as an antiseptic to prevent swimmer's ear. |
