Earache
Many earaches are a result of colds and other congestion - Reduce mucous and plegm with a tea of goldenseal, purple coneflower, eyebright or elder flowers. Try using a hair dryer on its lowest setting and held a good six inches away from the ear. Both the dry heat and the white noise help relieve earache pain. A warm heating pad on the pillow may help mild earaches. Use waarmed olive oil as pain relieving ear drops.
Make an infusion or tincture of mullien and use it as cold ear drops. Use oil of fennel or bruised fennel seeds, applied externally to relieve pain. Combine equal parts white vinegar and rubbing alcohol and put one or two drops in each ear three times a day as an antiseptic to prevent swimmer's ear.
