YTV Artist Of The Week

The guys first got together in 1996 at the Digges Lane performing arts school in Dublin. At the time, Marc was a well-known choreographer, Paul was a former actor who�d appeared in Irish TV shows and films, and Terry was a graphic design student. After adding Danny, the youngest member, the group got together and began harmonizing and writing their own songs. Not only are they talented songwriters, the guys also play instruments!!! Marc and Terry play guitar, Paul plays the piano and Danny plays "absolutely everything"!

mytown Quick Facts:

-mytown have their own studio - which they built in the back of Marc�s house - they call it the Madhouse!

-mytown was invited to perform in Bosnia at the request of the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson!

-mytown met idols Boyz II Men at a BIIM video shoot and sang for them. "We nearly died, their being the harmony gods of the world." recalls Marc. A month later, they were in a Philadelphia studio writing and recording tracks for the album with Boys II Men!

-The album "mytown" has taken ten months to record and has taken them to San Francisco, Virginia, Philadelphia and England to do the recording! Terry says, "It took a while to record mainly because we wanted to get it right." The album has a variation of romantic ballads, mid-tempo grooves and fast street songs." The first hit and video off the album will be the dance tune - "Body Bumpin�". The album is expected to be available in Canada in late March/early April 2000.
