“I
have seen
the end. What fate befalls us is not
found in the end of some dusty book, no revelation of old, nor prophecy to be
fulfilled. The end that I have seen,
lingers but a little in the pride of man, for through pride itself we shall
each find our own destruction, and thus the destruction of us all. The end that I have seen shall sprout from
the cheers at the end of battle, the thrill of victory, the heart pumping, over
and over, driving us further from who we once were, making us feel like
gods. The end that I have seen shall
erupt when the mirror breaks, when our pride, our honour, even that which we
call kindness out of what makes us feel good, crumbles, and we are left but a
wreck. From high to low I have been many
a time, and many a time, back there again.
I have seen the end, the future that is coming for not just me, but
everyone. The final battle is coming. We shall once again meet in that ring, and
when it is over, nothing will remain.
The countdown has begun...for one final dance...”
