| .:House Ghosts:. Sir Nicholas de Mimsy Porpington: The house ghost of Gryffindor. As a resident of the Gryffindor Tower, who was improperly beheaded about 400 years ago. His head is attached by a small amount of skin on his nick,thus his nickname is "Nearly Headless Nick". Because he is nearly headless and his attempts to behead himself, have decived his attempts to join the Headless Hunt. The Bloody Baron: The house ghost of Slytherin. As a resident ghost of Slytherin, the Bloody Baron is a frightening ghost "with blank staring eyes" and silver blood all over his clothing. People are so frightened by him, that they've never had the courage to ask the nature of his death. Yet his is the only thing that can control Peeves. The Fat Friar: The house ghost of Hufflepuff. As a resident ghost of Hufflepuff, the Fat Friar is a cheerful, and kind sprit who is always happy to see first years enter the great doors of Hogwarts. The Gray Lady: Is the house ghost of Ravenclaw, yet no further information is given about her in the books. .:Other Ghosts:. Moaning Myrtle: The ghost who resides within a toilet in the girl's bathroom. Myrtle was killed by the Basilisk when the Chamber of Secrets was first opened, 50 years before Harrys time. She haunted this girl who would always make fun of her, until the Ministry of Magic got involed. She fancies Harry Potter and spys on him sometimes. She has a low opinion of herself, wails and is accusing that everbody talks about her behind her back. Professor Binns: The History of Magic teacher at Hogwarts. He is what the students call, the most boring teacher. He fell asleep one day, then awoke and went to teach his classes, leaving his body behind. He is though the only ghost employed at Hogwarts. Peeves the Poltergeist: Peeves is not really a ghost, but still is at Hogwarts. He is the worst troublemaker, a prankster, and a very uncontrollable sprit (but the Bloody Barron is the only one who can control him). When something goes wrong at in the castle, Flinch is always accusing Peeves automatically. |
