She was born somewhere in San Bernardino, California sometime in July of 1992. The first time I met her, she was standing on the sidewalk in front of my house. She was matted and so dirty I could hardly tell she was white. She belonged to my neighbors. The man and woman were drugs addicts. They had nine children. They would buy little animals to keep their children occupied so they could sleep when coming down off the drugs. The children were cruel to these little animals. One day I was in my kitchen and I heard a loud noise in my livingroom. I ran in there to see what all the noise was. At my feet was the little puppy crying and limping. They had hit her with a baseball bat and thew her over the fence. She ran straight through my screen door; broke it. You see she picked me to save her. She hadn't forgotton the time I patted her on the head and said some kind words. I was a cat person, but she would change my life forever! I gave her a bath and fed her and offered the neighbors $5.00 for her. They took it of course. They needed more drugs! Needless to say, she was the best investment I ever made!
She always walked beside me and when I stopped she did too. She was great on a leash, but better without it. She was a biscuit and cookie monster, and everytime I went for ice in the freezer she had to have some too. When I came home she barked before I came in and then gave me a welcome fit for a Queen! At night she sleep next to me on the floor. When I went to pick up my son's (twins) from school, she was ready to get in the car. She loved to go! When we got there we would wait by the old oak tree and she would look at every child and wag but she went crazy when she spotted her boys. She loved her boys and they loved her too. When I left the house, I had to put her on a chain because she would get out after I left. Strange though she would only lay down out in front of the house so she could see when I came back. She was waiting for me to come home.
I had her for a wonderful 12 years until she got ill and I had to make the horrible decision of putting her down. She was the love of my life, my constant companion, my beautiful, beautiful baby girl. I miss you terribly Buzz. I will always Love You. Thanks for the memories. MOMMY |
