I really enjoy ghosthunting, for lack of a better word. I have had quite a few unusual experiences that have made me a believer. I still take things with a grain of salt and try to find a rational reason for something unusual that happens.
I would like to help people who are having unusual or unexplained occurences. Sometimes just knowing that someone is there to help you makes a difference. Even if it doesn't turn out to be paranormal.
I would also love to get "proof". Maybe not signifigant scientific proof but enough to show some people that it is real.
I love animals, especially cats and hedgehogs. Currently I have two cats named: Angel and Osbourne (Ozy). They are the greatest most lovable cats in the world (Till they run over you in the middle of the night playing, shred the arms of your living room chair, decide that their food is to low, even though the bowl is half full and keep meowing till something is done about it or meow constantly for no apparent reason but we still love them no matter what, sigh). No hedgies at the moment, can't afford taking care of one. They can be a tad bit expensive in upkeep. I strongly believe in rescue/adoption and would never buy an animal, but thats just me.
I am a Pagan or Witch either fits. Basically I believe in Goddess/s and God/s, with emphasis more on The Goddess (Think Mother Nature). I am a solidary practitioner but have celebrated Sabats and Esbats (those are major and minor holidays) with others in the past. I believe that spells are a manifestation of will and are sorta like a concentrated prayer, just done a little differently.
I suffer from Bipolar disorder, with mainly severe depressive episodes. With me manic episodes consist of severe mood swings and very bitchy attitude. And people wonder why I can't keep friends when I'm not on meds, lol.
I have anxiety and panic disorders.
I am agoraphobic.
So in a nutshell, no pun intented (lol), I get depressed a lot, I have fears of large crowds and stores, I rarely ever leave my house and can be quite moody/bitchy at times.
I don't hear voices, have hallucinations, am not psychotic, or would harm anyone, well, maybe myself (when your really depressed you get suicidal thoughts often or I do anyway).
I am on medication, see a psychiatrist and therapist, and have good support system.
Any topic concerning rescue, research or education is welcome. We hope that this will be a positive and fruitful discussion board.
No advertisements of sales of hedgehogs or other animals (legal or illegal, USDA sanctioned or unsanctioned) will be allowed on the list. Rescues, with or without adoption fees, are exempt from this policy. Advertisements for personal businesses of our community members are welcome on the first day of every month. MYSTYOWL'S NOTE: This list has been veryyy slow lately but I am hoping more people join and start conversations and set up new investigations. The main people of the group are great.
