A WINTER STORM
A chilling wind begins to blow.
It whispers "Soon will come the snow.
"And cover everything in sight,
A clean and soft blanket of white.
Children bundled up and warm,
Oblivious to the nearing storm.
Are cuddled up and sleeping sound,
Don't hear the snowflakes hit the ground.
Branches bend and twist and break.
There's only so much they can take.
The wind whistles a song of regret,
It knows it hasn't finished yet.
All night long it howls and rings,
Making doors and windows sing.
Their chorus echos through the night,
And tempts the candles flickering light.
And anyone who dares to roam -
Outside, will wish that they were home,
Observing from their window seat,
Amid hot chocolate and the fires heat.
:)

TEMPTATION
The urgency of
looking into someone's eyes,
and then experience
An uncontrolled desire.
A longing to climb inside their soul.
Mesmerized by a spell
So intense,
Captivating,
Surrounded by the warmth
Of their whole existence
Rejuvenated passions,
Mirrored in the glistening
of their eyes.
:)

FROM A DISTANCE
From a distance
I will you to
Feel my thoughts.
I close my eyes-
And imagine you,
Strong,
Resplendent,
Standing alone,
The silence deafening
My heart pounding,
Beating against your body,
Caressing your essence
Then knowing,
What will never be,
I fade away.
Leaving hope
With nothing lost
That,
I imprinted my spirit
Upon your heart.
:)

IN THE QUIET
In the quiet of Night
The sound of silence
And my heart beating
Plays rhythm
With the whistling wind
Tears flow freely from my eyes
Knowing now
That love is only an illusion
I am left here alone
To wonder
Does every heart have its own destiny?
To learn to love unselfishly
Unconditionally
For a lifetime
Without pain and confusion?
To hold it
And not share it...or
Maybe it becomes
Fully evolved after time?
Tears flow freely from my eyes.

RIGHT THROUGH ME
You walk right through me
Scorching like a flame
So overwhelming
Playing this lovers game
The intensity keeps me willing
Colors of passion dance
The lack of apprehension
Doesnt give me half a chance

Walk me to the water
Feel the waves break on the shore
Let our passions be our escort
Where weve not been tried before

Where weve not been tried before

Echoes of your whisper
Fire in your eyes
Brilliant color sparkles
In a luminous star filled sky
Walk me to the water
Feel the waves break on the shore
Let our passions be our escort
Where weve not been tried before

Where weve not been tried before

THROUGHOUT THE YEARS
Through the years
We have grown
to be independent.
We are conditioned
To react a particular way
but no matter how sure
How grown, or how particular
We become
It hurts me inside,
to know that you will confide
in someone, who isn't me.
Whatever happens
What life hands out
Remember
You are a part of me
A sister and a friend
That bond will remain
Throughout the years
The memories created
Are memories protected
Throughout the years!

SOLITUDE
So what of winter and solitude
Evenings last forever,
Leaving you silent inside.
Your soul is crying.
And what of spring so far ahead
The innocence of May
A crimson sunrise arriving
Earlier each day
Then summer waves are crashing
The ocean of blue emotions
Striking on the shore line
Begging you to dance.

AUTUMN WIND
Autumn wind,
Painted leaves dancing,
Abandon the trees,
And circle my path.
Velvety clouds hide my view of the sun.
Daylight hours slip away.
Reminding us,
Jack Frost is on his way
To paint our world with
A shivery frosted glaze,
The aroma of wood waltzes on the breeze
From a distant fire
It fills the air
Kissing the last trace of summer adieu

IN MY MIND
If I could climb inside my mind
And observe the jumbled mess, that
I call my thoughts - then
Embrace only what I need.
Escape the nonsense that whirls and weaves.
I might have a chance
I could put these circumstances
In perspective and recognize
What I need to survive
And make me stronger
Then I would know what to do
What to feel
What to believe
Perhaps I could cope with truth,
And let it enter my soul
How many tests does a soul require
Before it gets resilient or falls to pieces?
I believe, in our whole life
We will never know.

Outside my window
In the morning
Deviant snowflakes dance
They blanket a snowman
In a coat of crystal jewels
He was
So thoughtfully created
The day before
Childrens footprints are
Barely visible
In the freshly
Fallen snow

Poems that have been sent to me....
sorry it has taken so long for me to get them
posted and thanks for sharing them with me.

Like a Child
Walking in the twilight
With my most faithful friend
It always is a mystery
What lies around the bend.
We leave a trail behind us
In freshly-fallen snow
Can it be that were the first
To travel where we go?
Snowflakes swirl around us
As we walk among the trees
Each step that we take is filled
With new discoveries.
I feel my spirits lifting
As we break into a run
The day is left behind me,
As we leave behind the sun.
All thats left are simple things
. An angel in the snow
Snowflakes on my lashes,
As stars begin to glow.
As we turn for home now,
Me and my faithful friend
It feels in this moment,
Like Im a child again.

What Can I Do
I mourn for what is to come....
Fearing the loss of a "beloved kin"
His beautiful light being taken too soon,...
But what can I do for you?
Wrap my arms around you.....
Tell you it's in God's plan;
But how, I don't understand....
We all become part of something greater,
But what can I do for you?
Seeing your loss at "what to do".
Unsure of what strength you have left inside,
But I see your beautiful light shine through,
And I ask,....what can I do for you?
I am weakened by the blow,
But I have learned so much from you...
And I find my own strength to anchor to....
Fighting against this storm I will hold fast,...
And see you through......For love's sake,...
This is what I can do for you.
