Long ago, before the time of Christ, before the Celtic Druids ever took full possession of this land, the small Isle of Eden was perhaps found in another place, in another time. (CURRENT YEAR 249 BCE, Pre-Christianity) This romantic and mysterious tract of country has a long historical pedigree, stretching back over countless millennia into eras of strange dreams and endless mystical revelations. Any who come to Eden strong in the disciplines of the Old Knowledge are strangely transformed, that is if they are able to find it through the thick veil of mist that hides it away from sight. They are fused into a form of cosmic consciousness that reflects the patterns of esoteric memory that are shaped into the very landscape itself. The aura that surrounds the Isle of Eden radiates a potent vibration, a vibration first stemming from the personalities and skills of those blessed races that came to its environs during the so-called prehistoric days. Millennia before the advent of the Celtic Druids, there existed a race of men and women who shaped the whole terrain to form certain mystical and astrological patterns. The roots of this mystery have nothing to do with Christianity, which came late to the area, first as an inheritor, then as a usurper, and someday, as a destroyer. They are found through a synthesis of pagan ritual and natural, magical intuition, and they are so old, deep and strong as to be inviolable to all forms of fleeting desecration. The key to the secrets of Eden lies within the contours of the landscape. OUR STORY: Long ago, the Great Dagda was compelled to create. First Dagda created other deities to oversee things in the heavens. Dagda created Gods and Goddesses alike, One God for every Goddess, and each with their own domains of empowerment, some good, and some evil. The Great Dagda also created other spirit-like creatures to give aid to the deities...calling the good spirits Angels and the evil minded spirits Demons. The two could not get along well, so the Great Dagda created two seperate realms for each, the higher realms of heavens belonging to the good minded, and the lower realms for those who were evil. And the Dagda was happy. The Deities decided, after gaining permission from the great Dagda, to create other realms of existance, with creatures and beings that would provide them with entertainment and worship, so as to become more powerful. The Great Dagda agreed, and thus the realms were created. On the realm known as Earth, The Gods and Goddesses first created beings in a land they deemed "EDEN" which in Celestial means Paradise. The land was blessed by each God and Goddess, evil and good alike, the creation process taking place on that sacred location, the earth itself soaking up the residual magic of the deities in the process. At first, the deities were pleased with their creation, finding the creatures they made to be entertaining. But things took a turn for the worse, the beings began to abuse the magic of the lands, to destroy the sacred location, to turn away from the deities who had created and blessed them. And so the kingdom of the heavens and the kingdom of the undermysts joined together to destroy the creatures from their sacred lands and closing the portals to their realms so that no others could enter. Each sent four of their gaurdians to gaurd to the portals on Eden. Two male demons, Two female demons, Two Male Angels, Two Female Angels. In time, the two realms decided to try again, once more entering into Eden and creating new creatures and beings. They created the Muses, The Fates, and other various beings to assist in their fun. But again, the creatures of Eden abused the lands that were so sacred and so again the Deities rid the beings of their sacred lands, returning the gaurdians to the portals to ensure no one reentered the sacred land. And so the gaurdians served for an unlimited number of years, and they began to believe the Deities had forgotten them. And they joined together to create a new breed of angel and demon, creating Neutrality. And these angel/demon breeds continued to grow, and breed with other creatures, and soon Eden was filled again, and this time the Deities were pleased with the people of Eden and so allowed them to stay. But the Deities wished to protect these special creatures with blood from their own veins. So they took the piece of land which was Eden and made it an island of its own, and shrouded it in a mist so that those who were not of their blood, not of special interest to the fates and muses, would not be able to find it. But the people of Eden complained, for many wished to go to other realms and seek out adventure. So the Deities, Good, Evil, and Neutral, created a portal to connect the realms together. They created circles of stones in each realm as means of transportation for those seeking to leave the island. And they called the great circle of stones "STONEHENGE" and so the people of all realms came to have a Stonehenge...some realms would know of their portal, and some would not. But the sacred followers of the deities of Eden would know, and that is what it was created for. And the people were happy, and the Deities were happy, and Dagda was happy. A land unlike any other, Eden holds the powers of the universe in its very earth. The Shadowlands reflect all that is beautiful and pure. It is the chosen land of the fae creatures, the fairies, the nymphs, the dryads, and the druids. Here the lands are ruled by the decendents of the original Lady of the Lake, the most powerful priestess ever in existance. The mystical power does not show favor for either good or evil, as is proven by the land running adjacent to the Shadowlands, Murkwood Forest, haven for the undead and practicers of the dark arts, and of course the Aleena Nation where neutrality reigns. The land draws not only the great Priestess' bloodline, but also the chosen ones, the Firestar bloodline destined to be the protectors of innocent, destroyers of evil. It drew to it the Kienstads, demons by birth, but angels of justice. It houses the amazons, descendents of the race of women that helped shape and mold this mystical land into what it is today. And far beneath the surface, the very core of the abyss itself, the throne of the greatest source of evil ever known to mankind. Eden, a garden of beauty, a cauldron of death. This is the very land that the Gods (both male and female united) created the first man and woman of each favored race. The very land where a serpent�s deceit proved to be all too powerful and a simple apple destroyed the true destiny of all living creatures. This is the land of the Isle of Avalon, the gateway for the Gods to the earth and their followers. The future Isle that King Arthur and his sister, Morgan Le Fey will make so popular in years to come. Those fortunate enough to find Eden, the beloved isle of Avalon, feel closest to their deities in this promised land. Though they are granted no special powers over residents in other lands, they are often more in tune with their abilities because of the magic that is carried in the mists. It is a land that knights desperately search for, that clerics only dream of, that wizards hope does not exist, and that demons strive to possess in it�s entirety. Welcome to Eden, the garden Paradise�, welcome to Mystical Avalon..... Welcome to your adventures!. |

INTERESTING FACT: DIFFERENT TERRITORIES (and therefore the religion of that territory) HAVE SIMILAR CREATION AND GARDEN OF EDEN STORIES. INTERESTING FACT: THE NAME AVALON MEANS "A PLACE OF APPLES".
