| Blessed Be and Welcome to this site! I am a 34 year old Wiccan. I was one who at an early age knew that I was different. By different I mean that I felt an affinity with nature. When I was a kid you could often find me sitting under a tree watching the clouds,or birds or animals ,or I would be off collecting stones. As a child I wasn't aware off any specific name for what I felt though. As I got older,and during my search for a religion that would fill me up spiritually,I came across Wicca. Wicca is a nature based religion.It stresses living in harmony with all creatures and the earth. Wicca is a religion first,all other things second. Wicca is not about spells,or potions. Not all people who are Wicca practice spellcraft. Those that do however,never cast upon any person without that persons permission.We do not cast spells to make someone else do something against their will. I do not approve of magick that manipulates someone else in any way. That would be interfering with their free will and choice. Wiccans practice their rites to attune themselves with the natural rhythms of life forces marked by the moon,and the seasonal quarters,and cross quarters. We acknowledge the cycles of nature,the lunar phases,and the seasons,to celebrate our spirituality,and to worship the Devine. We do not worship the devil,we do not even believe in the existence of the devil.I believe that the only evil that exists is that which we generate by our own thoughts and deeds.We do not try to be spokepersons for the devine,nor do we try to get others to follow us or join our groups,or ect. I do not believe that Wicca is the only valid religion. I believe that their are different paths to the same source. All positive paths are valid an right for that person who believes in them.
