Authors Note: This takes place in the future. Max is finally going back to
his home planet. Maria POV

She sat on the rock staring out at the endless night, unfazed by the chill in
the air. The night sky was dark as coal and the stars twinkled and shone with
a light whose beauty was unsurpassed. Tonight they shone for the lovers who
could not be, because tonight was the last night of the rest of their lives.

Slowly a serene type of happiness overwhelmed her body, and she knew he was
there before she heard the soft crunching of the gravel under his feet. The
moon shone and the stars shined, unaware of the events soon to take place
under them. Staring out on the water, as the moon beans glistened off if, she
waited for him to come near. His faint cologne filled the air blending with
the smell of strawberries.

He came to sit next to her and she could feel the heat of his body radiating
off in waves, telling her of his love. Love. Something they had never spoken
aloud before. Sure was truth and evident in their touches, their eyes their
hearts, and their souls but never had the words been uttered from the. If she
couldn' t feel, this wouldn't hurt like it was. She wouldn't feel like she
was being torn apart. Like after tonight there would be no point in living.
Never would she feel his arms wrapped around her, his soft lips pressed
against hers. Tonight was the end. Her body shivered from the thought and the
sudden gust of wind in the night air. She continued to stare out of the
horizon as he sat down beside her.

Shrugging off his jacket he placed it around her shoulders. She slipped her
arms through the sleeves and pulled it closer towards her. Hopelessly trying
to lose her self in it. She was overwhelmed by the smell of him and she
reveled in it. She leaned closer towards him and placed her head on his
shoulder and she felt his arm slip around her back and encircle her waist,
pulling her towards him, leaving a tingle trail of sensation.

The pain began to drain from her body. The feeling of complete and utter
despair only dissipated at his touch, never again would she feel so free,
so alive, so complete. They knew it. They hated it. But it was truth. And
she felt it. She felt him watching her, studying her\'85 loving her, and she
smiled. Arching her neck, she looked at him, locking eyes with him. His eyes,
the eyes that drew her inside, and mesmerized her so much, she felt like she
was drowning in them. They told of his sorrow and pain that tonight was the
last night they could ever be together.

He leaned forward, his soft lips pressed against her own. She slipped her
arms around his neck and he pulled her onto his lap. Slowly he slipped his
tongue inside her mouth and she moaned with pleasure, running her hands
through his hair. He then began leaving soft kisses from her chin down her
neck and stopped at her pulse sucked at it, making her grip onto her
shoulders tightly. Her body was on fire with his touch, his breath, his
taste, his kiss, his being. With trembling hands she pulled her face towards
him and stared into his soulful brown eyes and then she kissed him with all
the passion she had inside her. She could feel the wet trails of her tears
making their way down her face and she could taste it in their kiss, his own
tears mingling with hers. Finally they pulled away from each other,
breathless.

Their foreheads resting against each other as he pulled her into his lap and
she managed a small smile. She closed her eyes as he touched her face, trying
to lose her self in the simple sensation. She he pushed away his jacket and
slowly began unbuttoning her shirt, exposing her creamy body to the chill of
the night, goose bumps appearing on her skin. He pressed soft warm hand onto
the expanse of skin above her breasts and his hand glowed a faint blue, the
heat warmed her body and the goose bumps disappeared. And then with his
finger her traced a glowing red heart onto her skin and whispered into her
ear. This is where my heart belongs forever and always." And she
opened her eyes at the moment, looking down at the glowing heart on her skin.
"Maria I love you." And then the tears that had just stopped falling began
running down her face and she looked at him in awe.

"I love you too" And she threw her arms around his neck again and sobbed
into his shoulder, he slipped a hand under her jacket and rubbed soothing
circles down her back as he too cried. \par

Finally after her tears subsided, she pulled back and reached into her pocket
pulling a plain white gold ring, with an inscription inside. "My love. My
life. My Romeo, from this lifetime till the next."

She took his hand and slowly slipped the ring on his finger and slipped the
ring onto his left hand, and she whispered the words and then pressing a soft
kiss to his lips. My love. My life. My Romeo, from this lifetime
till the next. He smiled, mesmerized. He reached into the pocket
of his jacket, draped around her shoulders and pulled out a small velvet box
and took out an identical ring. "My love. My life. My Juliet, from this
lifetime till the next" engraved inside.

"My love. My life. My Juliet, from this lifetime to the next." He took her
delicate hand into his and placed it on her left hand and then pressed their
hands together, the metal clicking together. Their hands glowed with a
brilliant blue light and they closed their eyes together.

~ Sunset. Max in a tuxedo, Liz, Isabel, Michael, Tess, Kyle, and their
parents standing on grassy cliff looking over the horizon. ~
~ Maria dressed in a beautiful long wedding dress, soft white flowers in her
hair, Alex walking her down the isle. ~
~"You may now kiss the bride" Max and Maria kiss. ~

They opened their eyes. "Thank you." She smiled at him. "It was beautiful."
Her happiness glowed on her face. Nothing could ruin the moment.

"it has to be perfect" He whispered and then he snapped his fingers. The
headlights from the Jeep and the Jetta lit up the cliff with white ballroom
lights, soft music wafted from the radio.

"Its our song"

" I know" He stood up and she followed him. He held out his hand and she
took it. He then twirled her around and when she looked down he was dressed a
black and white tuxedo and she was dressed in a beautiful long strapless pink
ball gown that glittered in the light, the rock under them turning into a
beautiful and polished dance floor. She pressed her body against his and her
head once against resting on his shoulder and her arms around his neck, his
around her waist as they swayed to the music and they danced their last
dance.

If there were no words
No way to speak
I would still hear you
If there were no tears
No way to feel inside
I'd still feel for you

And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

All of my life
I have been waiting for
All you give to me
You've opened my eyes
And showed me how to love unselfishly

I've dreamed of this a thousand times before
But in my dreams I couldn't love you more
I will give you my heart
Until the end of time...
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
'Cause all I need is you, my Valentine
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

The End
