First off, so you'll see the connection between me and Edtech101, I'll offer a little backgrounder. Ready to hear this?!

I'm actually majoring in Communication Research but since I love to learn more about children and teaching, I took 18 units of Education. And one of the six Education subjects I have taken and still am taking this semester is Edtech101. Other Educ subjects I have taken are the following according to the sequence of when I took them:

Let's see, what else do you need to know about me? Perhaps the main reason why I have a desire to be a teacher is because I have a younger brother who is a special kid, or in more accurate terminology, he's a child with special needs. After I graduate, the family has plans for him to attend special school too.

And since you took time to read all this, I'm treating you to a very nice poem entitled "THE TEACHER" by Leslie Pinckney Hill. Here goes...

Lord, who am I to teach the way...To little children day by day...So prone myself to go astray?

I teach them KNOWLEDGE, but I know...How faint they flicker and how low...The candles of my knowledge glow.

I teach them POWER to will and do...But only now to learn anew...My own great weakness through and through.

I teach them LOVE for all mankind...And all God's creatures, but I find...My love comes lagging far behind.

Lord, if their guide I still must be...Oh, let the little children see...The teacher leaning hard on thee.
