| Hobbies Swimming. I've been swimming since I was 5. Yes, I'm good. No, I'm not THAT good. I swim 3-4 times a week. Workouts are one hour, at 5:30 in the morning - I'm not a morning person, but with my work schedule, I'd never be able to make the evening practices. My husband is up at 5:30 anyways, and once I'm in the water, I'm okay. Last year, I took part in the Catalina triathalon, relay-style. Leanne (on the left) biked, I swam, and Angela (2nd from the right) ran. Stephen, Angela's husband, (on the far right) did the whole thing. |

| Food. I love to cook, but almost never have enough time. Also, my kitchen is the size of a galley. One day, I'd like to make French Onion soup or paella. In the future, I will have a Belle Epoque dinner party with a menu including Beef Wellington, Yorkshire pudding, a pavlova or Baked Alaska. I also like trying out restaurants. I recently obtained the Holy Grail of reservations- French Laundry. I will let you know what all the yammering is about. Wine. You can't live in the Bay Area for too long without becoming an oenophile. We go out to Napa/Sonoma 2-3 times a year. We've discovered some great small wineries. Van der Heyden makes the only late harvest Cabernet Sauvignon in the world, and S. Andersen's champagnes are better than Veuve Cliquot's. My prize bottle in the cellar is a 97 Opus One. Zack and I will open it on our 10 year wedding anniversary. I also have a (contraband) bottle of absinthe. It's not really wine, but I thought I'd mention it. It'll be served at our Belle Epoque dinner party. Belly Dance. I've been taking belly dance lessons on and off for about two years. It's a lot of fun, but I'm not very good. It's kind of embarassing. Don't ask me to belly dance for you. It won't happen. Yoga. I started taking Hatha Yoga recently. I'm very proud to say that I just did a headstand (assisted) for the first time, even though that's probably no big deal. I can see why people get addicted - it's very relaxing. I don't understand Kundalini Yoga, or the earth mother type Yoga, with the chanting and dancing bullshit. I'd like to take Bikram Yoga, but I'll wait til I'm a little more advanced. Collections: Action Figures. I collect various action figures. I have figures from X-Men, the Matrix, Star Wars, Buffy, Angel and Fathom. I really want to get my hands on some LOTR figures. Take a guess at which figure I want the most.. Comics. I used to read X-Men, but I stopped after they killed off Psylocke. Mutant X was pretty good too, but it kind of trailed off. So did Fathom. Sandman was an excellent comic, but it's over now. I'm still waiting for Fray, which was supposed to come out in December. Joss, can you hear me? Shoes. I love shoes. It's a problem. I have to cut back. Interests: Film. My favorites are LOTR (if you don't know what this stands for, you're a lost cause), Being John Malkovich, The Royal Tenenbaums, the Matrix, Citizen Kane, Freeway, Breakfast at Tiffany's, okay, well it's all just mishmash. Reviews TV: My favorites are Buffy, the Osbornes, Sex and the City, X-Files (before Doggett and Moronica) Music: I'm an obsessive U2 fan. I have gotten into "the heart" three times during the Elevation Tour, and have met Larry and Adam. I also PJ Harvey, Prince and Tori Amos. There's lots of other artists I like, but I'll limit my list for now. Fashion. I love fashion, and I love to shop. Read more about it here. Books. I'd add more of a description, but my brain is too fried right now. Back to Main |
