there are flowers everywhere
under sky within the air
there are flowers on the water
lotus blooms where each has caught a
ray of sunlight streaming down
light in flood in which we drown
which lifts us up and energizes
all of life and its surprises
like the day when we first met
Sun in sky before it set
angels sang when you appeared
my heart skipped inside I cheered -
there are flowers we don't see
honeysuckle drippingly
spreading perfume though unseen
sweet caressing flower steam
like the linden and the rose
waking us to more of those
moments when we are transfixed
spells are cast and hearts are mixed
