I saw an eagle yesterday
and one again this morning
I saw a halo 'round the sun
the day before, spring's dawning
the honeysuckle smelled so sweet
as I looked to the sky
to see the mighty lord of birds
slowly flying by -
I felt the breeze, the warm wind blow
sunshine on my skin
as I walked alone down by the sea
watching two seals swim
on their backs with flippers up
and their noses too
the sky above the earth below
makes me think of you -
we are souls in bodies clothed
while in our minds we live
when we touch it means so much
this is how we give
each other what we want
to get back from others
all the love which we can feel
shared by all true lovers -
