Update: You now earn double the EXP when you defeat a real life trainer. This section will guide you through on how to calculate your current exp. and how to determine the exp. your opponent's Pok�mon will give!
To calculate how many experience points you need, take your Pok�mon's level and multiply it by five(5). Example: Pikachu level 38. Thirty-eight multiplied by five would be 190. In this case, the owner of that Pikachu would need 190 experience points! Now, to figure out how many experience points your opponent will give, simply multiply your opponent's Pok�mon level by three(3)! Lets take the Pikachu in the last example and have it fight a level 41 Raichu. Fourty-one multiplied by three would be 123! Pikachu would now have 123/190 experience points if he won that match. Please remember that after you have successfully gained a level, your experience points will be resetted back to zero(0) instead of having it carry on to the next level. Also, everytime you advance to your next level, you will gain varied experience points! See the chart below.
5-10: 10 stats
11-20: 15 stats
21-30: 20 stats
31-40: 25 stats
41-50: 30 stats
51-60: 35 stats
61-70: 40 stats
71-80: 45 stats
81-90: 50 stats
91-100: 55 stats
This doesn't mean you get 10 or so points added to every stat, it simply means that you will have those amount of points to distribute anywhere to any stat (including HP) for every level you gain. And if you're not sure on how or where to place them to, they will always be in your profile and carried over to the next level.
