He
opened the door to his apartment where he and his mom lived. He didn’t live
with his father and brother due to the divorce. He hated the fact that his
parents divorced and always hoped that they would get back together so that he
could have a proper family again but he knew there was not much hope like there
was not much cope with Kari. This is so ironic that I have the crest of hope and
I have got no hope what so ever. He thought to himself as he opened the fridge
to get something to eat. He didn’t understand why he was hungry all of sudden
maybe it was Kari withdrawal syndrome or something. He took a tub of chocolate
ice cream and walked into his room and there on the bed he saw Patamon. “Hey
TK,” he said with a smile. I’m so glad I’ve got Patamon; he’s my best
friend. I don’t know what I would do without him. “TK is something wrong.”
“Kari the, bitch princess, broke up with me,” TK sulked.
“TK, I’m so sorry. What happened?” the digimon asked inquisitively.
“Well first she came up with this BULLSHIT that me and her had nothing going
on for us and then when I was ready to walk of I remembered something that Joe
said to me,” TK said.
“What did he say?” Patamon asked.
“He said that he heard that Kari had been seeing another guy from someone and
he thought it was the right thing to tell me, but the strange thing was that was
months ago. At that time I thought Joe was just messing around until Kari dumped
me tonight. I wish I had taken him seriously,” TK started to bang his head
against the wall yelling bad the last sentence and telling himself how stupid he
was and why he didn’t realize it before.
“TK stop it,” Patamon cried. “She’s just a girl there are plenty of
digimon in the digital world.” TK started to laugh.
“You mean plenty of fish in the sea,” TK grinned.
“Why would you want to date fish?” Patamon said confused.
“Why would I want to date a digimon?” TK said. They both broke out into
laughter. Patamon’s the best he always knows how to make me feel better.
“Um… Patamon I think my break up with Kari is going to affect your
relationship with Gatomon.” TK said seriously.
“Don’t worry TK that relationship was going nowhere. I promise. All she ever
used to do was nag and whine. It was starting to piss me off.” Patamon
grinned. TK laughed.
“Patamon what am I going do with my life know?” TK started. “I mean I was
originally going to go to the same university as Kari but now I know I can’t
because it would just be so weird.”
“That’s so true, I don’t know. Let me think about it,” Patamon said. The
two sat there and thought for half an hour and Patamon had asked TK if there was
hope with winning Kari back and TK replied that there was no chance and that if
there was he wasn’t going to risk getting hurt again especially by her.
After talking about that Patamon remembered something. “TK,” he said. “I
just remembered something. Remember when you applied to that university in New
York. You know the one called Columbia. That one you applied for English and
that other stuff.”
“Yes I remember,” TK pondered.
“Well you received a letter from them today your mum found it and put it on
the kitchen counter and…TK…TK,” Patamon yelled after him as he saw TK run
into the kitchen. When Patamon found him he saw him with a letter in his hand.
TK turned towards him and yelled “ I GOT IN,”
“Congratulations TK I knew you would get in you're so smart,” Patamon
giggled.
“Oh… but there’s a problem, what about mom? I can’t leave her here on
her own,” TK frowned.
“You won’t have to,” a voice said.
“Mom,” TK cried.
“I’m coming with you,” she smiled.
“But I couldn’t possibly ask you to give up your job here and this town has
been your home for ages,” TK said.
“Don’t worry TK, I can transfer my job and to be truthful I’m sick of this
place. I need to get away and start a fresh start,” she implied.
“But Dad and Matt. What about them?” TK asked.
“We’ll visit in the holidays I promise. TK this is a big opportunity. What
do you say?” She asked. Patamon looked at TK.
“Well I got only one thing to say and that is that…I’m going TO NEW
YORK,” He yelled. He hugged his mother and laughed with Patamon. This was
going to be a new beginning in TK’s life.
