Anywho, this chapter is going to be utter crap…but it’s better then nothing. Chapter 6- The Book-o-Love

Videl,*looking at the words above the picture* -‘A dream come true’ this must be the girl Gohan has a crush on! *looks down at the actual picture* Wow! Gohan must have been looking at a mirror or SOMETHING when he drew this. He captured every one of his features. Crap! The girls face is only half there.- Videl continues to study the picture to find out who the mystery girl is for another minute.

(It’s a picture of Gohan holding ‘the girl’ aka Videl. Her head is turned so that her cheek is resting on his chest. Their eyes are closed and the picture was drawn before she got her hair cut. In the picture Gohan left her hair down. THAT my friends is why it’s hard for Videl to realize that it is her in the picture.)

Gohan looks down to see what has kept Videl’s attention for so long only to find out that his book has fallen open. Gohan, “CRAP! *he scoops the book up out of site as fast as a Saiyan can* You didn’t see who the girl was *gulps* did you? Or am I asking to much?”

Videl, *looks up* “I saw the picture, but I couldn’t remember where I had seen the girl before. She looks REALLY familiar…almost like m” she’s cut off by a knock at the door and it creaking open.

Goten, *in a sleepy voice* “Gohan, I can’t get back to sleep. I had a bad dream and Trunks won’t wake up. Will you sing me a song?” Gohan, “Sure Squirt” –Anything to get me out of my current situation…I’ll have to remember to thank him later-

Goten, “Great! Can I pick the song this time?” Gohan, “Sure, as long as Videl helps. Otherwise I get to pick.” Goten, “PLEASE Videl, please sing…I never get to pick the song.” Videl, “Sure, just as long as you guys don’t make fun of my voice” Goten, “Yay!”

Goten runs over to Gohan’s CD stack to pick out a song while Gohan and Videl plop down on the edge of the bed. Goten runs over and jumps in Gohan’s lap with the remote. He presses the button and a pretty intro plays.

*pretty intro*

Videl, “when the visions around you

Videl, -He hasn’t taken his eyes off me the whole song. He looks like he’s singing to me and meaning every word. I wonder if that was me in the picture. No, the girl had long hair. When I had long hair I was nothing but mean to Gohan. Wait, maybe he DID like me then. I mean, he DID teach me to fly. He could have just told me he used some kind of device Bulma gave him. Hmm…I wonder…-

at the same time, Gohan, -Wow she’s got a beautiful voice. Why would I have made fun of her. I hope she hasn’t noticed me staring at her. Dende she’s gorgeous! I think I actually love her. After all, Vegeta DID say that Saiyans had a good sense of finding mates. Wait, did I just say mate…and think that Videl is mine? Whoa up there Gohan, let’s find out if she even likes you before you try anything.-

*End tune*

Gohan looks down at his chest to see that Goten is now asleep, *whispers* “I’m gonna go put him back in Trunks’ room. I’ll be right back” Videl, “Ok. *Gohan starts to walk out the door* *whispers* Oh, Gohan? *Gohan looks back* Do you still mind if I stay in here tonight?” Gohan, *smiles* “No, it’s still ok.”

After Gohan’s left….Videl, -Did I see him smile? Okkk….If Sharpner had done that I would NOT still be in here. There’s something about Gohan though..I feel like I can trust him to not do anything I wouldn’t want him to.- Videl smiles to herself and lays down on her side and without any other thoughts she falls asleep.

Meanwhile…..

Gohan slowly opens the door to Trunks’ room and tip toes over to Goten’s mat on the floor. He gently lays his little brother down as to not disturb him and tip toes back out of the room and starts back down the hall to his room.

Once sure that Gohan is out of earshot…Goten, “Trunks…I think it worked. You should have seen brother look at Videl! I think she noticed…it kinda sounded like they were really singing to each other!” Trunks, “Good job Goten…Is Videl sleeping in Gohan’s room?” Goten, “Yeah, but I don’t see why that’s gonna help them” Trunks *gives Goten his trademark look* “Goten, has anyone ever told you you were stupid?” Goten, “No” Trunks, “Go to bed. G’night” Goten, “Night Trunks” and with that both chibis went to sleep.

Gohan finally gets back to his room to find Videl asleep, -Good, at least she wont ask me about the ppicture. I better find a good place to hide this incase she decides to get a better look- Gohan walks over to his dresser and puts it in the top drawer (I shouldn’t have to tell you what is kept in the top drawer) With that done Gohan walks over to the bed and lays done on his back.

After staring at the ceiling for a few minutes waiting for sleep to come he feels something across his stomach. He looks down to find Videl’s arm wrapped around his waist. Gohan smiles and pulls the sleeping beauty closer to him. Her head now on his chest, Gohan lets out a relaxed sigh and closes his eyes.

Videl, *talking in her sleep* “I love you Gohan” *she snuggles closer*

(I hope that wasn’t too crappy…I’m starting to get over my writers block but I start school Wednesday and it’s 2:30 AM Tuesday….so updates still wont be that often…especially with my schedule 1st block, American History Honors….2nd Block, Chemistry Honors….3rd Block, Business Systems and Technology….and 4th Block, Spanish I…….For those of you who are wondering. My school is on a 4 block day with 90 minute class periods. ANYWAY, after school AT LEAST two days a week I have Marching Band practice and starting in September Foot Ball Games on Fridays. Anyway, I used This I Promise You for this part because it’s what got my boyfriend and I to start showing our feelings for each other before he asked me out. So..in a way this chapter is dedicated to my loving boyfriend, Nick. I LOVE YOU!! And for the record, JUST because your name is Nick…it does NOT mean that I love you!
