Hello once again. I guess I got a review since this chapter is up. I’m typing all this up before the website is back to normal. So most of any news that I post in here will be old news. I hope everyone is enjoying reading this as much as I am enjoying writing it. Also, I hope that my grammar isn’t bothering anyone. I try to keep spelling at least correct. I hate it when people talk like this ALL THE TIME……Sup peeps? Howz it goin? I just luv wut u r doin wit dis chappy (that word irks me for some reason…don’t ask me why cause I don’t know) Anywho, I just had to get all that off my chest. ^_^ If any of my spellings and what not get on your nerves please email me or something and tell me. If I get enough complaints then I will fix the problem. The number of people depends on the complaint. On with the show!

Chapter 5- Night Scares and ‘The Talk’

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” Gohan pops straight up out of his sleep in Super Saiyan form looking franticly around him only to discover everything was a dream. (Ok, I said I was going to make this as true as I could, but I just didn’t like the fact that Gohan couldn’t go Super Saiyan anymore…. so I changed that. After all this IS my fanFICTION)

Goku and Vegeta stumble into Gohan’s room in Super Saiyan form as well, still trying to get their pants on (You can be a pervert or you can just understand that some guys sleep in their boxers…I know this ONLY cause I have a brother) Goku, “Gohan, what’s wrong? Did something happen? Please tell me that Buu didn’t come back” Vegeta, “Kakarrot you baka, shut up and let the brat talk”

Gohan, “I guess it was all a dream *Powers down*” Goku, “Whew, that’s a relief. *Powers down with Vegeta* Wait, what was all a dream?” Gohan, “Oh, nothing. Don’t worry about it” Goku, “Are you sure son?” Gohan, *Still has a dazed look on his face* Yeah, I’m ok now” Goku, “If you’re sure…. *Gohan nods his head* Well, alright. *Walks back to his room*”

Gohan, “Vegeta, aren’t you going back to bed?” Vegeta, *disregards the question* “Come here” Gohan, “Why?” Vegeta, “BECAUSE I SAID SO!” Gohan, “Alright, alright!” Gohan walks over to Vegeta and stands by him in the doorway. Vegeta turns Gohan’s head to the side so he can see his neck. Vegeta, “Just as I thought” Gohan, “What’s just as you thought” Vegeta,  *once again disregarding Gohan’s question* “When do you turn eighteen boy?”

Gohan, “Umm…today is Friday the 23rd so that makes my birthday on Tuesday. Why?” Vegeta, “I don’t suppose you have attempted to bond with any of the females on this planet have you.” Gohan, *lifts his hand in the air* “Bond?????” Vegeta, *Gives a frustrated sigh* “Looks like neither one of your baka parents has explained the mating of habits of Saiyans. Looks like I’ll have to”

Vegeta, “By the time every male Saiyan is eighteen he has to have at least if not achieved bonding with a female.” Gohan, “What exactly is bonding?” Vegeta, “If you’ll shut up I’ll get to that!!! *Gohan gulps* Now, as I was saying, the bond doesn’t have to work the first time. It just has to be attempted. If a Saiyan hasn’t attempted bonding by the time of his eighteenth birthday then he won’t be able to produce children. It was a way to keep weak Saiyans from producing weak children. Any questions?”

Gohan shakes his head.  Vegeta, “Good. Bonding allows a Saiyan to feel his mate’s emotions, speak to her telepathically, and you will receive all of her memories. . The same thing occurs with his mate. Any questions now?” Gohan, “Yeah, How do you exactly bond with someone?”

Vegeta, “Oh, that’s simple. You bite her neck. She’ll instinctively do the same…” Gohan, “YOU MEAN I HAVE TO BITE SOME POOR GIRL’S NECK!!! *covers his mouth* Vegeta, *glares at Gohan* “Yes, but you can’t force it. It’ll happen naturally.” Gohan, “How natural is biting some girl’s neck??!!” Vegeta, “It’ll happen when you both get aroused. You’ll be able to smell hers and, unless you’re numb or something, you’ll feel yours. You don’t have to mate though. You can’t force the bite either because you’ll either bite to hard or not hard enough. Even if you did bite her just right, she won’t bite back….unless she’s just pissed at you”

Gohan, “I can’t believe I have to do this just to have kids later. I don’t even know if I’m ever going to have kids, even worse, I don’t think I’ll ever find someone who will even marry me. So how am I going to get some girl aroused?” Vegeta, “Well, you seem to see that son of a bitch Satan’s daughter as a possible mate. I suggest you try to bond with her” Gohan, “I don’t think she likes me like that though”

Vegeta, “Do you know this for certain?” Gohan, “Well..no but….” Vegeta, “That’s what I thought. I never thought some third class baka would be responsible for the survival of the Saiyan race. Brat, you, your brother, and my brat are the only hope for our survival. You owe your life to us.”

Gohan, “By the way, how did you know that I hadn’t bonded? And why did you all of a sudden ask about it?” Vegeta, “I asked because of your nightmare. About seven days or so before your birthday you’ll start having nightmares about a female that’s very close to you EVERY time you sleep. (Yes, I know math…Friday is 4 days before Tuesday…but think about it…he spent about two days at the Supreme Ki’s planet between the power up and the day he recovered…. I’d say it was roughly two days he was there. Vegeta said ABOUT 7 days so THERE) The fact that you didn’t have a scar on your neck concluded my theory.” Gohan, “So whoever I bite is going to have a bite mark on their neck forever. Man, that sucks. I mean going through all that and then the bond not work”

Vegeta, “No. The male is the only one who remembers the act unless the act is completed. For the first 24 hours after the bond has been attempted the female will remember nothing. If the 24 hours passes and the bond doesn’t complete due to incompatibility between the two, the mark will vanish and the female will never know what happened.” Gohan, “What do you mean incompatible?”

Vegeta, “Saiyan Bonding is very powerful. If the bond is complete, it means that the two were meant to be. Soul mates as Earthlings call it” Gohan, “Oh, so if I WERE to bond with Videl and the mark is still there in 24 hours then we are meant to be?” Vegeta, “Yes, now if you don’t mind. The onna is waiting.” Vegeta starts to walk back to his and Bulma’s room. Gohan, “So I take it you and Bulma have bonded.” Vegeta says nothing. He just turns his head so Gohan can see the mark on his neck. He smirks and walks on to his room.

Gohan, *still at his door* -How am I going to tell Videl how I feel. I can’t just sweep her up in my arms and bite her. I mean. I have to at least see if she feels the same. Like Vegeta said, I have to get her….’aroused’ otherwise it won’t work.- Gohan is suddenly brought out of his thoughts.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!GOHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gohan, “Oh no! VIDEL!!” Gohan runs towards Videl’s room only for Videl to run into him on her way to his room. Videl hits him full speed and is sent backwards. Gohan catches her before she can topple over.

Gohan, “Videl, what’s wrong?!?” Videl, *Crying* “It was awful!!! The…thing…it..got..you! *cries more*” Gohan, “Shhhhh, it’s ok. It was just a dream. I’m here. Nothing got me.” Gohan continues to comfort Videl.

After she’s done crying, Videl looks up at Gohan. “Sorry. It’s just I’ve never had a friend who’s as good to me as you and I got scared when you weren’t there” Gohan, “It’s ok. I understand. But what thing got me?”

Videl, “I dreamed that you were the guy that was in the shower *Gohan blushes and stutters a little* That’s not what I meant!! I meant umm, I was in your apartment and I knew you were in the shower because I heard the water –good save Videl- *Gohan stops blushing and smiles* Anyway, I saw that creature go in there and I screamed for you to look out. I ran into the bathroom to help you but I was too late, it had gotten you and disappeared. (They didn’t blush cause the guy in the movie was completely devoured with no remains. Therefore, no Gohan in the buff) I woke up screaming because you were gone.”

Gohan, “Well, everything’s ok now. No one’s dead and we’re still together *Videl blushes* *stuttering* I… I mean….as friends hehe *puts one hand behind his head ‘Son Style’*” They separate and look at the floor. Gohan, “Do you want me to walk you back to your room” Videl *shakes her head* “I don’t think  I can make myself go back to sleep in there. *blushes* I was going to see if I could sleep with you, you know, incase sometime else happened. I can sleep on the floor if you want me to. I have a blanket. *holds up the blanket she had wrapped around her when she came out running*

Gohan, *Blushing* “Yeah, You can stay with me. The bed in there is a queen size and I don’t take that much room. So you can sleep up there with me *Blushes even deeper red* that is if you want to of course. *looks at the ground*” Videl, “Thank you Gohan. *blushes more as well*”

They walk back to Gohan’s room and lay down, one on each side of the bed. Gohan on his back and Videl on her side facing away from Gohan to save herself from blushing even more. Videl, “Thanks again for letting me sleep up here. Floors are bad to sleep on” Gohan, “It’s ok. I was having a bad dream myself. It’s nice to have someone next to you after a nightmare. I guess that’s why Goten sleeps in my room”

Videl, *turns on her other side* “What was your dream?” Gohan, *Still on his back turns his head to Videl* “I dreamed that you and I were part of the crew that went into the sewers and….*looks back at the ceiling* you were one of the ones that died. I tried to save you but I just couldn’t move for some reason. I tried and tried to move just an inch but something was forcing me back. After it was too late I was finally able to go Super and that’s how I woke up…Cold sweat, in Super Saiyan form, and screaming.  *turns back to Videl* I’m surprised I didn’t wake you up. My dad and Vegeta came running in to check things out”

Videl, “Sounds like some dream. Hehe, Seems like we’re on the same wave length tonight.” Gohan, *still looking up at the ceiling* “Yeah…” Videl, “Gohan….is something wrong?” Gohan, “I’m just thinking” Videl, “About what?” Gohan, “Just…things. *silence for a minute* Videl? Have you ever been in a situation that could change your life and not know how to get out of it…at the same time knowing what you have to do to get out of it??”

Videl, “Huh? You lost me.” Gohan, “See…I’ve got this ‘friend’…they’re in a situation that determines whether or not they can do certain things MUCH later in life. They know the answer that will let them do these things…but can’t bring them self to do it. Does that make more sense?”

Videl, “Yeah. Much better. *Silence* Gohan, what kind of situation are you in? Is there anyway I can help you?” Gohan, *chuckles* “Guess no one falls for the ‘friend’ thing anymore. I wish I could tell you what’s going on…. I just can’t being myself to tell you. It’s kind of embarrassing.” Videl, “I promise I won’t make fun of you. Please Gohan, please tell me. I’m sure I can help you.” Gohan, “That’s just it. You CAN help me. I’d just feel REALLY awkward asking you to do this. And I’m afraid it would ruin our friendship. *Turns to Videl* You mean a lot to me and I don’t want to loose you.”

Videl, “Gohan, you don’t have to worry about loosing me. You’re my best friend. I’ve never been this close to anyone in my entire life. Not even my dad. Please tell me how I can help.” Gohan, “No Videl. I wish it were easy for me to say…TRUST ME…I REALLY wish it were easy.”

Videl, “You want me to hook you up with that girl that you like don’t you? You want to ask her to the dance so you can get to know her and then go on dates with her later. It all makes sense now. So, who is she. I’ll ask her.” –SHUT UP GIRL! YOU are the one that want him so much you can’t stand it!!-

Gohan, “No, that’s not it.” Videl, “Un huh, sure. Now where’s that book you had those letters to her in? *gets up and starts looking*” Gohan, “Videl, NO. Please!!!!” *gets out of bed and goes after Videl* Videl, “Ha! Here we go! *Gohan snatches the book out of her hand* Hey, I’m just trying to help you.” Gohan, “If you read this book you have no idea how embarrassed I’m going to be.”

Videl, “SON GOHAN! YOU HENTAI!!!” Gohan, *hands up in defense drops the book on the floor without noticing and the book opens up to a picture he drew* NO, I SWEAR!! I’m NOT a pervert. I respect girls. I’m not Sharpner you know.” Videl, *closes her eyes and looks down* “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have

accused you of that” *opens her eyes still looking at the floor* *sees a picture apparently drawn by Gohan* -what’s this?-
