Gohan knocked on the large cabin's door excitedly, a large grin plastered
to his face. Piccolo opened the door and looked down at the teen, scowling as
usual. At seeing the teen his scowl was replaced with a smirk, and he allowed
the boy in.
"I thought you were Goku." Piccolo grunted as he closed the door and turned
around.
Gohan raised his eyebrow, "My father?"
Piccolo shook his head and crossed his arms, "Yea, he keeps on bugging me
to enter the Tournament with him tomorrow."
Gohan nodded and sat down on the couch.
"GOHAN SAN!" A smaller version of Piccolo, minus the cape and turban, leapt
into Gohan's lap.
Kage grinned and hugged Gohan's neck then hopped down and ran over to his
father.
Gohan laughed and shook his head.
"Goku san said that he would take me to the tournament T'morrow!" Kage smiled
happily and clutched onto Piccolo's leg.
"Can I go? Pleeease?!"
Piccolo's mouth dropped open slightly, then regaining his composure and
nodded.
"You go too?" Kage asked grinning.
Piccolo sighed and nodded again. Kage cheered, and ran off again.
Gohan snickered and Piccolo growled shaking his head.
"Your father is smarter than we can all imagine."
Gohan smirked and stood up, "So my question has been answered."
Piccolo looked over at Gohan raising an eyebrow.
"What?"
Gohan walked up to the Namekian looking up at him, "That you're going to the
Tenkachi Budokai."
Piccolo scowled and crossed his arms.
"From the looks of it, yes."
Gohan smirked and started to walk out the door, then stopped.
"Hey Piccolo san? Want to spar? Please?"
Piccolo looked up at the ceiling growling to himself, then looked over at
Gohan smirking.
"Sure, why not?" Gohan grinned and disappeared outside. Piccolo looked up
at the ceiling again, then continued out the door.
Kage sat on his bed staring out his window watching his 'Tousan and Gohan
spar. They seemed pretty much even for the time being, but Kage could tell
that Gohan was holding back. Gohan noticed Kage watching them from his
window up stairs and stopped to wave to him. Piccolo smirked and punched
Gohan in jaw while he was distracted. Gohan stumbled back a little and glared
at Piccolo.
"Hey! That wasn't fair Piccolo san!"
Piccolo smirked again and lowered himself into his fighting stance.
"You're not concentrating Gohan. You of all people should know not to take
your eyes off the opponent."
Gohan sighed and copied Piccolo's fighting stance.
Kage took his eyes off the fight and turned away, hopping off his bed. He
wanted to spar also.
"Kage show 'Tousan that I can fight too." Kage smiled and ran down the stairs
and out the door.
He watched in awe as the two older warriors fought for a moment.
"'TOUSAN!" Kage shouted and both fighters stopped their training.
Piccolo raised an eyebrow and landed in front of Kage, scowling.
"What?" Piccolo grunted.
Kage kicked at the ground for a moment the looked up at Piccolo.
"Kage wants to spar too."
Piccolo stared at Kage in mild amusement then nodded.
"Alright, Gohan and I will teach you how to spar."
Gohan quickly landed next to Piccolo.
"But Piccolo! He's only a year old!"
"He'll be fine."
Gohan stepped back in shock; apparently his mentor had lost it.
Kage grinned then lowered himself into a fighting position he had seen his
father use before.
"Alright Kage, ready?" Piccolo smirked cockily and slipped into his
fighting stance.
Kage nodded, his grin faded from his face and he attacked. Gohan watched the
two with an open mouth; Piccolo was letting Kage win! Gohan grinned and sat
himself down in the grass.
Day Of The Tournament…
The island was crammed full of fighters and spectators wandering around
shopping and talking. Music and laughter hung in the air like a thick fog.
The Z team, consisting of Piccolo, Kage, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Bulma, and
Trunks, forced their way to the main building where the tournament was being
held. Several monks sat outside the building at a large table taking entries
from all the fighters.
"Son Gohan."
Gohan watched the man write down his name then stepped aside.
"Son Goku."
Goku grinned at the man writing down his name and then joined his son at the
side.
"Vegeta Briefs."
Vegeta turned away and walked over to Bulma.
"Trunks Briefs."
The monk looked up and smiled, "Okay next."
"Ma Junior."
The monk's jaw dropped and he nodded nervously, quickly writing down
Piccolo's name. Piccolo grunted a little annoyed, and then walked over to
Gohan and Goku. Kage followed close behind trying to get his father's
attention.
"'Tousan! 'Tousan!" Kage pulled on Piccolo's pants as he shouted his name.
Piccolo looked down at Kage a tad annoyed.
"What?"
Kage looked over his shoulder at the registration booth then back to his
father.
"Can I enter too?"
Piccolo raised a brow at his son and looked around.
"Maybe next time Kage, when you know more about fighting."
"But I can fight." Kage protested, straitening himself, trying to make
himself look a little taller.
"I said 'No', Kage." Piccolo growled while glaring at his 1-year-old son.
"Hey Kage, why don't you come with me and watch your Otousan fight? Okay?"
Bulma intervened, trying to break up the argument. Kage looked up at the blue
haired woman then back to his father.
"Next time can I enter?"
Piccolo nodded and Kage smiled.
"Okay. Kage watch you then."
Kage turned and took Bulma's hand and she lead him away. Piccolo watched
the two disappear into the crowd then sighed in relief.
"Hey Piccolo? Why does Kage talk in third person sometimes?" Goku asked as
soon as Kage was out of earshot.
Piccolo shrugged folding his arms over his chest, "I'm not sure. He has
always done it."
Goku nodded and laughed nervously then turned to Vegeta.
"Hey Vegeta!"
"Get lost Kakarot." Vegeta growled angrily at Goku and then turned his back
to him, "Let's go Trunks."
Trunks nodded and the two walked away.
Goku rubbed the back of his neck in confusion, and then shrugging turned
back to Piccolo.
"Well I guess we should head to the arena too."
Piccolo nodded and started to walk away, Goku following behind him.
"Hey, Piccolo?" Goku jogged up next to Piccolo.
"What?" Piccolo stopped walking and looked down at Goku.
"Uh… never mind."
Three Minutes Before The First Fight.
"First up is Giant Versus Tora!" The announcer yelled exciting the crowd. A
very large man wearing a red cape with the letter 'G' on it stepped up onto
the stage grinning. A tall skinny woman followed behind the 'giant', she wore
a dark blue gi with an orange shirt and sash. Her long black hair was tied
back out of the way, in a ponytail.
"I give her 5 minutes." Vegeta muttered under his breath.
"She'll do better than that!" Laughed a woman behind him.
Vegeta jumped and turned around about to kill the woman.
"Who are you?" Vegeta spat looking severely angry.
The woman, slightly shorter than the top of Vegeta's hair, smirked at him.
She wore a gi similar to the woman about to fight; the only difference was
the colors. While Tora's was dark blue and orange, hers was black and red.
"My name's Kimura. What's yours?"
"None of your business." Vegeta growled and then turned back to the fight
that was already over.
"Yea Tora!" Kimura shouted at her friend who was walking back. Giant laid on
the arena's floor unconscious while paramedics and such gathered around him
then rushed him off the arena.
"Hey, I'm next!" A third woman walked up to the others.
She wore a blood red gi with a black sash and shirt; she also appeared to be
the shortest of the three, but not by much.
"Now wasn't that a great mach?!" The announcer received another round of
cheers and clapping, "That's what I thought! Next up is Lara Versus Tyrant!"
"Good luck Lara!" Kimura shouted at the third woman who was heading to the
arena.
Tora turned to Kimura crossing her arms.
"I wonder which of us is going to win."
Kimura shrugged and cheered as Lara knocked out a rather large man.
"I'm not sure."
"Not sure of what?" Lara asked with a smirk as she walked back up to them.
"Who's going to win between the three of us." Tora repeated.
"Oh. Hey Kimura, when are you fighting?"
Kimura looked away from the third fight taking place and thought for a minute.
"I'm in the 5th fight."
Lara nodded then added, "Who you fighting?"
Kimura shrugged, "Some guy named Ma Junior."
The three started to laugh at the ridiculous name, then walked away to check
out the competition.
Vegeta smirked; he had been eaves dropping on the female fighter's
conversation and from the looks of it, Piccolo had to fight one of them.
Vegeta eyed the unexpecting Namek and walked over to him smirking evilly.
Piccolo opened his eyes and glared at the Saiyan prince.
"What do you want now, Vegeta?" Piccolo growled.
"Hmph, like I'd tell you Namek." Vegeta turned away and crossed his arms.
Piccolo scowled and dropped his arms to his sides, "Don't mess with me
Vegeta!"
Vegeta looked over his shoulder at Piccolo and grinned, "See those female
fighters over there?"
Piccolo looked past Vegeta and nodded when he spotted the three women.
"Yes, what about them."
Vegeta grinned evilly and began to walk away, "One of them is your opponent
in the 5th match."
Piccolo's jaw dropped and he began to cuss to him self.
Kimura looked over her shoulder ignoring Tora's comments on what they would
do after the tournament.
"I was hopping for a challenge at least." Piccolo muttered to himself.
"What's wrong?"
Piccolo jumped at hearing the female voice then looked down at the woman. She
was one of the females that he was supposed to fight.
Piccolo glared at the young woman and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Who are you, Kid?" Piccolo muttered.
"Kimura. Who are you." Kimura answered oblivious to the glare she was
getting from the Namek.
"Ma Junior." Piccolo growled.
Kimura's jaw dropped open a little, "You're Ma Junior?"
Piccolo nodded not liking where this was heading.
"You're the one I'm supposed to fight." Kimura shook her head and mumbled
something to her self.
Piccolo scowled and was about to say something when the announcer called out
his name.
"Next in the 5th round is Ma Junior Versus Kimura!"
Piccolo glanced at Kimura then walked away, Kimura following closely behind.
"Go Kimura!! Woo!!" Tora and Lara shouted in unison.
Kimura smiled and held up the victory sign as she entered the ring.
"You know the rules, so let's begin!" The announcer jumped off the ring and
cheering filled the air.
Kimura and Piccolo glared at each other in a staring contest.
"Poor girl doesn't stand a chance against Piccolo." Goku said to know one
in particular.
"I think it's the other way around." Came a voice behind him. Goku looked
over his shoulder at a woman approximately his height.
"You think so?"
"I know so."
Goku turned back to the match with new thoughts.
"Go 'Tousan!" Kage shouted happily and clapped his hands.
Bulma smiled down at the boy then turned her attention back to the ring.
"Well you gonna fight or just stand their?" Kimura asked arrogantly and then
attacked.
Piccolo blocked punch after punch then swept Kimura's legs out from
underneath her. Kimura fell forward and was stopped by an uppercut to the
jaw, sending her reeling backwards and skidded to a stop on her side. Piccolo
smirked in self-satisfactory and crouched into his fighting stance. Kimura
slowly climbed to her feet wiping at her bloody lip.
"Nice move." Kimura smirked and then flew at Piccolo attacking him head on.
Piccolo stumbled backwards more in shock then on the impact. Regaining
his senses, he vanished from sight. Kimura punched at thin air, then quickly
turned around punching out in front of her. Piccolo suddenly reappeared next
to Kimura and grabbed her arm, twisting it behind her back. Kimura yelped in
pain and struggled to get free, only causing herself more pain in doing so.
"OH! This looks like trouble for Kimura!" The announcer shouted excitedly
over the cheers of the crowd.
"What are you really?" Piccolo hissed into Kimura's ear while pulling up on
her arm.
Kimura yelped in pain again and gritted her teeth.
"What?"
"You know what I mean! Where are you from!?" Piccolo tightened his grip on
Kimura's arm in anger.
Kimura leaned backwards trying to take some of the pressure off her arm as
she struggled, suddenly a loud CRACK echoed through the air. Kimura screamed
in sheer anguish and Piccolo released her arm in alarm. The crowd quieted
down suddenly.
"Kimura? Do you wish to quit the match?" The announcer asked into his
microphone.
Kimura shook her head and cradled her broken arm.
"No." Kimura used her undamaged arm to brush away the tears of pain that had
formed in her eyes.
Piccolo stared at the woman in shock, the word 'oops' formed on his lips.
The crowd suddenly erupted into cheers and yells again.
Kimura glared at the Namek and then disappeared, reappearing behind him and
tripping the stunned Namek.
"I'm a Saiyan, Does that answer your question?" Kimura hissed angrily at the
falling Namek.
Piccolo picked himself up quickly and looked at Kimura in surprise.
Vegeta and Goku both looked at each other then at the woman standing behind
them.
"Saiyans?" Gohan asked in disbelief as he and Trunks walked back into the
waiting room. Trunks took a sip of his pop looking up at his father and Goku
for answers. Lara looked up at Tora and shrugged nervously. Tora smacked her
forehead and glared out at the arena where Kimura and Piccolo were currently
fighting.
"Yes we're Saiyans." Tora sighed finally.
Vegeta stepped up glaring angrily at the two female Saiyans standing before
him.
"There's no way you three can be Saiyans!"
Goku looked down at the prince and then back at the two female Saiyans.
"How are you guys Saiyans? It doesn't seem possible." Goku shook his head
trying to make sense of it all, "-And why'd you come here?"
Piccolo frantically tried to make sense of all that was happening. Another
Saiyan? No, three more Saiyans. Piccolo stopped fighting and disappeared
behind Kimura and hit her on the back of her neck. Kimura gasped silently and
then fell forward unconscious onto the arena floor.
It seemed ironic for the six of us to meet that way, five Saiyans and a
Namek. At first Vegeta refused to believe that Tora, Kimura, and Lara were
all Saiyans, survivors of a long lost race that he should have ruled over one
day. It has been eight years since the last Tenkachi Budokai we entered and
met the three female Saiyans and once again another war is going on. Marai
Trunks has returned to stay and help out against the war, he is 27 and his
world has been gone for three years. The Trunks of our time is 15 years old
and struggling to keep up with the other Saiyans. Gohan, 23, has been missing
sometime now. We can't trace his Ki either. It is believed that the
Awanaijin's have killed him, but that's not certain yet.
And Kage, dragged into this war when he was four years old, is the youngest
fighter of our group.
