The stillness in the shadows shifted and crackled, a larger shadow slowly
crept along the cave's wall and then came to a stop next to the smaller shadow.
The fire crackled and licked at the shadows making them dance a little before
the wind dyed down. A soft crack echoed throughout the small cavern.
The smaller shadow rocked ever so slightly, followed by more soft cracking
noises and then a soft voice gasped. A large gust of wind blew
through the cave
making the fire dance wildly before suddenly going out making everything
go pitch black.
2 Weeks Later Gohan dashed across the grassy plain to the edge of the river,
by the waterfall. Skidding to a stop, Gohan jumped into the air and
floated halfway up the waterfall to where a small cave hid behind the water's
glassy cover. Gohan smirked and dove through the water into the
cave.
"Piccolo san!!" Gohan chirped happily and was greeted with an angry
glare. "Shut up!" Piccolo hissed at the 14-year-old demi
saiyajin. Gohan
quickly covered his mouth childishly and quirked an eyebrow. Piccolo
rolled his eyes and tilted his head at the small sleeping form in his lap. Gohan
slowly dropped his hands to his sides and gawked at the tiny baby Namek sleeping
in his sensei's lap. The first coherent word that came out Gohan's
mouth was, "Huh?" followed by, "Piccolo san?" Piccolo
sighed exasperated and rolled his eyes once again. Gohan took a couple of steps
forward and
dropped onto his knees trying to get a better look at the child. Gohan
looked up at Piccolo's face then back down at the child, at a loss of words.
Piccolo
was glad that for once Gohan wasn't talking his ear off. The child shifted
and then opened it's large curious eyes and yawned. It's small baby fangs
glistened
in what little light was in the cave. Gohan smiled then looked up at
Piccolo who was smirking. "What's his name?" Gohan whispered.
Piccolo looked away
from the child's face and smirked proudly, "Kage."
