Anyone wanna buy some popcorn?

And now, a completely random Crystal-generated image. Take one and pass around (free adverts. Woo~).

Our little girl is all grown up...

So here's something to celebrate: Someone likes someone. A flesh-and-blood someone, not just a character or a celebrity. Wow, how long's it been, old Crissy? Three, four years? *Tear*

Okay, I'm exaggerating. I just think he's pretty cool. But it's a start. Good to know I'm not turning lesbo or anything. Not that I think lesboism is wrong.
GLOBAL MELTDOWN GLOBAL MELTDOWN GLOBAL MELTDOWN HOMEWORK HOMEWORK HOMEWORK! I did SO well on the chemistry quiz the other day (smell the sarcasm). But no one seemed to do so well either, and I understand the concepts now, so the world has righted itself.
On the brighter side, I like my classes. I sincerely do. I just wish they didn't spill over so often into my evening hours. I should be paid overtime, I really should.
Props to the beautiful, beautiful soul (Britni? Brittnee?) who sits beside me in chem for lending me her textbook copy so I could make my own copy off of it. Our chem teacher doesn't have enough textbooks for some of her classes, so we're getting kind of jipped and she's tearing her hair out.
Happy birthday, Mum! Except that it was Wednesday and you go by your lunar birthday.

A mi me gusta...

Happy last day of August! Hey, I have a guestbook you know. And the only people who come sign are twisted freaks who keep trying to advertise their porn sites (YEAH I'M TALKING TO YOU!). So allow me to remind you that the guestbook is found under Site > Guestbook. Feel free to shower me with love.
When is/was the sign language club meeting? I hope it wasn't today, because it completely slipped my mind. And I need to remember to attend StuCo tomorrow. And Global Meltdown next Tuesday. And HOSA next Thursday. So much wholesome crap. I need to start coding or stealing the code for an online calendar around here.
I probably failed the calculus test today. WHYYYYYY?! Things were going so well...
I have some great ideas for Global Meltdown that I hope someone will take seriously:
  • Expansion. Seriously. Too frickin crowded, and too little table space.
  • A huge poster with "WE NEED YOU!" and the names of all the countries I'd copy from the CIA country facts website, in an effort to promote representation of a more diverse array of nations (none of this "Asian Culture Night" crap).
  • More "cultural" acts, less "gangsta rap/booty dancin'" ones.
  • Door prizes/Giveaways
  • A big map of the world near the entrance so people can put provided stickers to label where they are from
  • I'm not sure about this one...an area of booths that offer interactive activities rather than food (i.e. cultural crafts, games, etc.). I'm debating whether people would actually pass up opportunities for free food to go make crafts.
So there's my three-and-a-half cents. It's diabolical.

Homework, homework, HOMEWORK!

Um...yeah. So I really should be working on that now, instead of the page, but I felt sorry for my poor neglected hobbies, because those are the first things that go when School and Crystal decide to mix. So here's a quick post with updates.
Had a great time at the Asian American Club picnic this past Saturday. Saw some close friends, became better friends with other people, and met new people overall. AND THE SWINGS! Too bad it took up my Saturday so that I ended up paying for it (sleep-wise) Sunday night. =)
I finished driving long, long ago and will get my driver's license in December (a la six-month waiting period). This girl in my English class was in my drive class. Coolness.
HOMEWORK! Say, is it just me or does calculus seem really easy so far? Of course, it doesn't seem so easy when Mallery's spouting calculus magic at 80 mph while I should be taking lecture notes. But I pass the tests, yay? Or I did the first one. We shall see.

Last Week of Swimming Freedom?

1. Aimee is begging me to swim right now. 2. Only two driving lessons left! 3. School starts on the 17th--I FEAR FOR MY LIFE! 4. Two Sweet Sixteens on the exact same day (Aug 23) for two of my best friends!
More later.
[Later] So, like I said, I swam--we just got swim goggles this past Sunday. Oh, tomorrow is the freeway lesson. You seasoned drivers should tremble at the thought. I did get some practice in, except it was like 7 AM on a Sunday and there was no one around. Still, it's better than nothing, right? And the birthdays...hmm...must reinvent myself and think outside the box. Whaddya think, LyVa, should I get you guys leopard-print thongs and Marilyn Monroe costumes? And oh, a Polaroid camera? I think so.
We visited the Woodl---- Mall this weekend, and quite frankly, I'm disappointed. Couple of turns up and down one story, then another, and we were back where we started. Maybe my expectations were too high. I did, however, score a couple of cute Snoopy/the gang shirts for 7 dollars each. Sales are wonderful.
Oh, yes! I also ran into a KHS friend at the little donut shop in my neighborhood. She works there weekends. She's quite adorable, I think.
