February 18, 2005 my response
I was surfing online one day when I stumbled upon the following letter:
In response, I have generated several frustrated attempts at writing a letter that expresses fully my reaction towards news of Ms. Eva's death. The following are balled-up slips of paper I retrieved from my wastebasket:Dear Ms. Eva's attorney,
I am very saddened at this news. Did she leave a will? Dear Ms. Eva's attorney, Eva who? Dear Ms. Eva's attorney, I'm very proud of my accomplishments. Yes, K-pop is a very interesting branch of music emerging in the international scene. Are you interested in a Bi music video? Dear Ms. Eva's attorney, I am sorry to hear that Ms. Eva's family will be pressing charges. Would they be interested in settling for a Bi music video?Regrettably, I had become exasperated in my unsuccessful letter-writing, and gave up in order to nurse my cramped hand. Chrystie
February 11, 2005 hello friends
This is the last weekend for Last Dance to air here. I'm going to miss the lead actors, as well as the usual excitement and cliffhangers of k-ds. But they all have to end sometime. Hum ho. I quit, School. You're just too crappy for my taste. I'm going to stop caring and get some sleep once in a while. You have me addicted to drugs now. Or drug. Caffeine's still a drug. SCREW YOU! Yeah...but I'm so glad it's the end of the six weeks. Maybe I can do some back work to catch up. And work ahead. And study for the many SATs and APs awaiting me. And work on violin. And study UIL spelling. And current events for HOSA. And tweaking of webpages for Ambassadors. And do a little leisure piano-playing. And learn some frickin' Korean. And transfer my notes. And update my page. And organize my papers. And label my photos. And get sleep Sunday night. Hmm. Nope. Ain't gonna happen. Chrystie
January 31, 2005 Mr. Rain, you were chilly today
This was taken by an apartment pool in San Antonio, Texas, where I lived for a year with my aunt and uncle and little Alex. Gosh, I was such a cute kid. What happened to me?!
So now I will do this thing where I will post my little "Last Dance" souvenirs, which I filched from a very nice person on Soompi. "Last Dance." =)
Ah...as long as I can steal 2 hours a weekend away from my homework, life is good. No, don't call me lazy. You've never seen a K-drama. Chrystie

If Crystal had a job, and it was summer break, she would: Buy a really good digital camera and become a digital artist. Like Annika. Crystal hearts Annika's work. I will take quirky pictures of strange and beautiful things and go PSP-happy, and people will stare inhospitably at my work and criticize its amateurity. [Not to mention my lovely tendency to make up vaguely familiar but alas, nonexistent words. The abstract noun forms of "amateur" are "amateurishness" and "amateurism," you retard.] But I will be happy. *Raspberry.* Lately I've taken to updating my xanga, which no one really visits. But then, it's not such a far cry from updating a webpage that no one really visits, is it? Yes I'm bitter. Let's start over.If Crystal had a job, and it was summer break, she would: Save up at least $500 for Christmas presents for my family. I have never given Christmas presents to my relatives out of my own pocket, and it's such a shame because I know very well what most of my family members would really like for Christmas. And they usually don't get it. Chrystie

So now I will reveal to you the true extent of my idiocy, illustrated ever so appropriately by this past weekend's Area HOSA Competition. I was in Medical Spelling, and it is divided into two rounds. The first round is a 50-question multiple-choice scantron exam. Some of the questions were easy, but others I answered to the best of my ability based on my so very educated method of choosing the answer that sounded the most "medical." Yup. So having BS-ed my way through that, I waited for the Medical Spelling scores to be posted, so I could see whether I had advanced to the next round: the spell-down. The Dental Spelling had been posted, but not the Medical. Or so it seemed. So I waited. And waited. And waited. And having grown very uneasy, I bugged a bunch of the Courtesy Corp and the sponsors about the Medical Spelling results. And lo and behold, they pointed out to me the results, posted in very tiny print, below the sheet of Dental Spelling advancees, which I and other people reasonably thought to be the Dental's rejected lists. You know? So I look through the window into the room where the spell-down is held, and they're in progress. There's no way a spell-down can be interrupted or started over because of a latecomer, you know that. And I knew that. Flush went my dreams of Medical Spelling Statehood. But, fortunately, I'm still advancing to state because of the stupid Kaiser Permanente Health Care Issues Exam. And since I was advancing anyway, my HST I teacher came up to me and very kindly notified me that I was the number 1 speller in the first round. Moreover, thanks to [or in spite of] my earnest BS-ing, I had not missed a single question on the exam. OH. CRAP. Ha ha ha...thaaaaaanks, Mrs. Danie. ChrystieArchives
