Memories

I felt now that a new year has started, I would like to make a page dedicated to my personal memories and thoughts about this past year, and of course it will change as days will pass by. You can say it's a page about me, a discussion page, I really don't know already how to call it... so that0s why its name it's just Memories.

I've to say that I've enjoyed very much this last year of the century. I've started to study Russian and I've met very nice people.

One of the best moments were in Austria, where I saw the eclipse from Salsburg, and although I was there by chance, it was incredible! Everything was dark, the lights of the street were lighting and a beuatiful star was juts next to the eclipse... a very special moment.

But 1999 was the year I saw for the very first time Bruce Springsteen live, believe me, it was a dream come true! It was that kind of dreams you think you'll never be able to achieve, but I was there and he was great, one of the best concerts I've ever seen! He started his world tour in Barcelona and of course we were so proud with it, and only to have the chance to see him with the fabulous E-Street Band.

I've photos from this conert, but they aren't so good, so better not to show them! It was incredible. He spoke almost all the time in Catalan, my mother tongue, and so well, it was very nice of him. And I will never forget the feeling of 21.000 poeple singing and having fun together to the sound of Badlans, Born in the USA and my favourite moment... The river... he started saying not so loud the first verses and then started to sing, it was so emotive.

Then another unforgetable evening, really two evenings, because I've seen twice the Lord of the Dance by Michael Flately, and both times from the third row. I love Irish dancing and the show was incredible. Maybe I liked more the first time, because the stage was longer, but in the second show all the clothes were new and also the decoration. And they sang a new song insteat of Our wedding day. It really seems after the show you have to know how to dance so lovely and with so much elegance, but you realise it's not easy and it's better to go on watching :-)

And iwent to another famous concert, full of crazy girls, to see the Backstreetboys. I went with a friend of mine, we were just curious to see a concert like that. We really looked like reportes, with cameras, binocles, and trying to see how mnay boys were in the first row... of course we only saw one boy in the second row and outside the stadium a guy who was exactly like AJ... it was a so funny evening... and I was so surprised about the concert, I only knew two songs of them, but the special effects were so fantastic, although I prefer concerts where musicians play their own instruments and they don't dance all the time, more natural, I don't know how to explain it,... but you've to be open to all kind of tastes :-)

And ther has been too many bad things in the world this year to mention them all, it's sad but it's true. The petrol in the ocea, wars in Russia, bad conditions in Turkey, Venezuela,... really it's difficult to understand our world sometimes. So as soon as I can I'll dedicate a page to all these, because they need to be taken very seriously.
I just hope this new millenium some sense will come to human mind and we'll all work together to make a better world.
