On this page we will try to help you find your way around neopia and help you to understand your neopets, how to take care of them with a few little tips. There is no way we can tell you everything about neopia, as it is always changing. But we will try to help get you get started on the right path.Frist of all please read the neopets sites offical rules. Neopets pets is a great site and the Neopet Team works really hard to keep it that way. We wouldn't want any of you to get frozen now would we .Okay So Let's started We'll start with your neopets.
Your pets in the real world depend on you to take care of them, So do your neopets.It is your job as a neopet owner to care for your pets and keep them healthy. You can choose which pet to work with from the Pet's page Neopets - Edit Your Pet's Homepage . This also lets you see if they are hungry or unhappy. Later, you might decide to get a petpet, a pet specially for your neopet! They can be seen on this page also.
If you only have one pet and would like more, you can check out the adoption center The Neopian Pound . Some of the pets there may be painted with special paint brushes or higher in levels. They're cost may be higher, They tend to find homes pretty quickly but if your lucky you can get them. But please remember all the pets at the adoption center are in need of a loving home.

Each of the pictures is a place you can go.The first one looks like a dish of ice cream. By clicking on this you will go to your items. And so on, just run your mouse across the pictures to find out what they are for. You will find this page to be very useful.

( User ) by clicking on the word user it will take you to your userpage. This page is where others will go to find out about you and to check out your pets, your shop, your home or your guild. So You may want to add your own greeting To say Hello.
( Pet ) This is where the pet that you are Playing with at the moment's name will show up. By clicking on this you will be taken to a page that shows your pets. On this page you can choose the pet you choose to play with by clicking on that pets picture. Doing so will high light that pet and there name will then appear on the yellow side bar..
Now as you are new, you may not have a lot of neopoints to feed your pets. That is why Neopia offers a soup kitchen. It is ran by the charitable and kindly Soup faerie Neopets - The Soup Kitchen . Remember, you can only get free soup if you have less than 2,000 nps.
Next your pets will need to go to school so that they can learn and grow in levels. At this time there are two different schools where you can send them, But more schools will be opening in the near future. One of the schools is on Krawk island. It's called the Swashbuckling academy Neopets - Swashbuckling Academy , You will pay for this school with something that is called a Dubloon,The other school is The Mystery island Training school Neopets - The Mystery Island Training School . Where you will use whats called a codestone to pay for the class's offered there. There are also other ways your neopets levels can be raised . One is by the Faeries who rule Neopia. They like to send you on quest to find things they need. Another is to visit coltzan's shrine Neopets - Coltzan's Shrine . That can be found in the lost desert. But Remember you can only visit the shrine once a day.
Another way to help your pet learn is to read them books. This will help to make them smarter. Many of these can be purchased at the various bookshops, located in the main shopping area, the lost desert and faerieland. Playing the game Cliffhanger can also help.
There are several places you can go and receive free items for your pet. But remember You can only go to these places ONCE per day though. One of these is located in Tyrannia, on the plateau. There you will find the giant omelette. Neopets - The biggest omelette in the world! Qucikly grab a piece and it will feed your pet up to three times
Another place is Coltan's shrine. Neopets - Coltzan's Shrine You may receive food, items, dubloons, codestones or levels or maybe nothing at all! It's all a game of chance.
Also in the lost desert you can visit the amazing fruit machine Neopets - The Neopet Fruit Machine where you have a chance at winning codestones, neopoints or food.
Then on the very mystical Mystery island where the natives reside, There is the favorite past time, Tombola! Neopets - Tiki Tack Tombola!!! This Game of chance sometimes give away booby prizes, even if you don't have a winning ticket.
On terror mountain you can chance to go visit the Snowager. Neopets - The Snowager But beware, if he isn't sleeping he might get a little angry and throw bad stuff at your pet!
Then in the ever so sweet and wiggly Jelly world Neopets - Free Jelly! , they offer up a free helping of jelly once a day!
In Meridell there is the ever popular, ever smelly Rubbish heap Neopets - The Meridell Rubbish Dump where you just might find some pretty neat albeit kinda stinky items.
While in beautiful Faerie land you will find the healing springs Neopets - Faerieland Healing Springs where a very Magical and Kind Faerie will either help to heal you pet or give you a rare item. You may visit her once every 30 minutes. Told you she was kind.
( Shoping day ) On the 3rd day of each month, All items in the shops in Neopia are half off.
And keep and eye out for your pets special days. The Swashbuckling academy offers free training for your pet on their special day.
