Yugi duels the fake Kaiba. The real Kaiba is in a secret computer room. He hacked into the Duelist Kingdom and is watching the duel between Yugi and the fake Kaiba. When the fake Kaiba is about to attack with the Blue Eyes, the real Kaiba uploads a virus into it. Then Kaiba had to run from some of Pegasus's guys. Yugi won and sent the fake Kaiba back to the demon realm it came from.
Rex Raptor challenges Mai to a duel, but Mai says she will only accept if Rex defeats Joey. Joey says he doesn't need any help from his friends. Things were looking bad, but his friend's support was helping him pull through.
Rex summons a Red Eyes Black Dragon. Joey uses his Time Wizards Time Roulette. Joey won not only star chips, but the Red Eyes Black Dragon card too. Later, Mai comes by their camp and gives them some food. Then she went off into the woods. They meet Bakura in the woods. Bakura challenges Yugi to a duel. An evil spirit in Bakura's millenium ring traps Yugi and his friends souls inside their favorite cards.
Yami Yugi battles Bakura. It is difficult, because all his friends are their favorite cards, and he can't let anyone get hurt.
They battle on. Bakura was trapped inside his favorite card too, the Change of Heart card. With the real Bakura's help, Yugi wins the duel and traps the evil spirit.
An eliminator, Panic, cheats Mai of all her star chips. Yugi duels him to get them back. Panic has all his monsters hidden in a Castle of Dark Illusions. Yugi uses the swords of revealing light to win. He gives Mai back her star chips.
Yugi, Joey, Tristan, and Bakura's camp was disturbed by a helicopter. Kaiba comes out. Yugi gives Kaiba back his deck of cards. Kaiba tests out his new portable dueling system on Joey. He beats him easily. Kaiba heads off towards Pegasus's castle.
Bandit Keith, the best American duelist, his gang captures Joey. They take him to a graveyard arena. Joey has trouble fighting against Bones (One of Keith's gang), because Bones has Zombie cards which keep coming back and getting stronger. Joey's all alone.
Joey tries to use his Time Wizard card, but the Time Roulette lands on a skull and just takes away from Joey's life points. In the end, Joey pulls just the right magic card he needs to win. But after Joey wins, Bandit Keith's gang traps them in the cave.
They find an exit from the cave, but the way is guarded by the Paradox Brothers (hired by Pegasus). Joey and Yugi team up against the brothers in a duel. Many star chips and the way to Pegasus's castle is on the line.
