| Finally to accessories. They are the essential tools with which to transform each outfit from casual to smart to evening wear. The more accessories you have the more versatile your wardrobe will be. The basics are: A couple of belts....a slim belt in plain or stamped leather with a self-covered buckle |
| to match your trousers; a wider belt in mid neutral leather or suede with a metal buckle to wear with jeans. Two bags....a large mid neutral leather or suede shoulder bag for everyday use; a smaller dark neutral leather, suede or fabric bag with a chain or detachable shoulder strap to wear with smarter clothes and evening wear. Three pairs of shoes....a pair of narrow heel court shoes in dark neutral plain or stamped leather that can be worn with suits, dresses and evening wear; a pair of loafers in mid neutral or dark basic colour leather or suede for casual wear; a pair of sandals or mules in metallic colour leather for summer and evening wear. LATER ADDITIONS....a couple of printed scarves in silk, satin or chiffon would make a nice addition and a brightly coloured knitted scarf will brighten up a cold grey day; a pair of knitted gloves for the winter and a pair in leather or suede will add the finishing touch to a winter suit; a couple more leather or suede belts in basic coloured suede or leather and an evening belt in velvet or metallic leather; a neat fabric bag in a pale neutral for summer dresses or suits and an embroidered velvet, beaded satin or metallic evening bag; a pair of boots in a medium neutral, low heel courts in a pale neutral to match the summer bag and a gorgeous pair of evening shoes. |
| Where jewellery's concerned you could get away with just a few basic pieces.... for casual wear a pair of earrings, a neckchain and bracelet in polished gold or silver; earrings and a bangle in polished wood for smart occasions, earrings and brooch/lapel pin in gold/silver and pearl; earrings and bangle in brushed gold/silver for evening wear, earrings, necklace and bracelet in diamante, jet, marcasite or gold and amber. a watch in gold, silver or mixed metal. |
