~Sweet Love~

They say this life is happenstance,
And you never get a second chance,
But oh, I know they're wrong,
You've known this all along,
We'll prove they're blinded,
They can't see,
I'll show them what you mean to me,
In time, oh, in time,
I'll make up my mind,
To leave the past behind.

And they'll know what we're feeling,
They'll see it in our eyes,
When we can hear our own hearts beating,
Yeah, they'll be hipnotized,
And we'll see our emotions arise.

As we look into the future for that brighter day,
We'll see the storm before us and the calm will sweep it all away,
The grey skies now behind us,
Let the sun shine on through,
And show me what's inside of you,
Maybe then they'll understand,
What I feel when you grasp my hand.

Walk in rythym,
Walk in rhyme,
Like there's no such thing as time,
This smile that stays upon my face,
The way you've allowed me to fall into grace,
It's love, oh, sweet love,
Unbelievable the way I feel,
I finally know just how real,
This is, oh, this is.

On the days that no one's there,
You always seem to really care,
For me, oh, for me,
Now who can say that they've been there?
For me,
For you,
It isn't fair,
But now it matters not,
'Cause they see what we've got,
Jealous, maybe, I can't say,
But why do they turn their heads away?
From us, oh, from us,
I must be because they feel so wronged,
And they realize what we've known all along,
That love, oh, sweet love,
Can take anyone high above,
Their misery,
Their darkest pain,
And dry up all the floods of rain,
Inside, oh, inside,
Can't you see it in my eyes?

Something's there I can't explain,
And I realize that there's so much left to gain,
Just wait,
They'll see,
What you mean to me,
Now stop and think of all that's gone,
The seasons pass,
Frozen in stone,
Swept into a happy past,
Those memories will always last,
In my mind, in my mind,
But yet they're still so unkind,
Let's flip the switch,
Push rewind,
And trace our meetings back in time,
When life was so right,
But we lived with so much fright,
I was scared, oh, so scared.

Security,
That I can see,
That's exactly what you've given to me,
Such a prize, such a prize,
To look into your eyes,
To hold me close and never faint,
But to never wake from the nightime's weight,
Oh, it's a heavy burden to bear,
Yet when I see you standing there,
It washes away,
It's all gone,
Far along some distant road,
I see it passing by,
As I sing our lullabye,
The words; they sound just as sweet,
As I knew they would,
Yeah, it's no surprise,
They should.

So, now I bid my baby goodbye,
As I'm slowly lying down to die,
But my soul lives on,
See, we knew this all along,
We always sang a different song,
From the others,
From the rest,
We always settled for the best,
No less, oh, no less,
And the best is what I've found in you,
Your heart, your soul, and beauty too,
It's there, oh, it's there.

Never mistaken,
This one last touch,
To have our hands casually brush,
Pass on by, pass on by,
But know that our souls will never die,
I'll falling into you,
As you fall into me too,
So, now are wishes all came true,
I got what I expected from you,
Sweet love, oh, sweet love,
Yet maybe you went above,
My expectations,
My every dream,
I know this is only what it seems to be,
To me,
To you,
And know that I'm never blue,
When you're around,
I'm never down,
My world has been so turned around,
Changed in such a random fashion,
When we're together we're feeling such passion.

How can they say this life is happenstance?
And that you never get a second chance,
But oh, I know they're wrong,
You've known this all along,
We'll prove they're blinded,
They can't see,
Now I've shown them what you mean to me,
And you've shown them what I mean to you,
I hope they see that this is true,
Sweet love, oh, sweet love.
