She was raised by Queen Meredith's most trusted lady-in-waiting called Mabel. Mabel raised Kalynna with the help of her husband, Junier. Both gave Kalynna what Katryna lacked in her home, love, patience, honesty and understanding. Everything good in a family. One day, Kalynna was heading to the market in Alynar. As she was walking along the side of the road, she heard the sound of a carriage. Kalynna continued her walking as the royal carriage of Alynar passed her by. A young woman stuck her head out of the small carriage window as she commanded the driver to stop at that instant, slowly the young woman got out of the carriage wearing the finest clothing Kalynna has ever seen. Kalynna now at a loss not knowing if this young woman wanted to speak to her, continued on her march heading to the marketplace. The young woman called Kalynna, "Excuse me, Miss, stop right there." At this Kalynna stopped, slowly turning around and looked into her eyes and for that instant she held her breath not believing what she was seeing. She covered her mouth, slowly studying the young woman standing in front of her, the flowing jet black hair shining on the sunlight, those baby blue eyes looking at her as she looked at the young woman, the fine clothing and the crest of the Kingdom of Alynar. Kalynna moved her hand away holding on to her basket knowing full well she was in the presence of royalty and slowly curtsy, lowering her baby blue eyes as the young woman begins to speak, "Oh my gods. What...May the Gods bless this day. What is your name young lady?" Kalynna raised her eyes slowly softly speaking, "Your Majesty, my name is Kalynna McKenzie, daughter of Junier and Mabel McKenzie." At this, this young woman stepped closer to Kalynna looking into her baby blue eyes as she introduced herself, "I am Queen Katryna of Alynar." Kalynna kneeled down, giving the Queen her respect as the Queen commanded her to stand up and said, "I would like you to come with me to the Palace. You and I have a lot to discuss." At this, Kalynna widen her eyes, not believing she has been invited to the one place everyone wished they could get invited into, the renowned Alynar Palace. Kalynna hearing stories of the beautiful masterpieces that ornate the beautiful halls of Alynar Palace, couldn't yet believe her good luck. "Your Majesty, May I ask something freely? May I.." sighs not knowing how to ask this from the Queen, "May I go home and tell my mother about this? I mean is it possible to have my parents come to Alynar Palace with me?" At this Queen Katryna looked into her eyes, "How about you and I go to the Palace today and tomorrow we shall feast, we shall sing in joy at this beautiful founding let alone to actually see what I am seeing, my twin sister. Come with me my dear, let us rejoice and tomorrow night we shall host a feast on thy name." With that Kalynna smiled, finally knowing she is now complete as she felt throughout her life that something was missing. Three nights after, Kalynna was sired by Katryna, her twin sister. The End. |
