| So... you are curious about me, eh? Well, I suppose there is no accounting for taste:) I am 31 years old.. I have two sons, both just monsters in their own ways, but they are genuinely good kids:) I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, a Navy brat in training, though it didn't last long. I stayed a brat, but had nothing to excuse it:) hehe. I grew up in Vallejo and Vacaville, here in California. I currently reside in Vacaville, in my own apartment after many years of wishing for that:) It's wonderful and my house looks like a faery land... I think it's pretty clearly a girl's house. For that reason, I usually host a girls' night periodically, where children are banned from the room, except to eat, drink, or be repaired if the need arises. It's great fun, and the boundaries really tend to come down... most of the men I know would give BIG money to be allowed to hear some of our discussions:) Monday through Friday, I work for CitiGroup in Sacramento. It's a very dull job, but hey, it's a job. I married when I was 17, to my first husband, and we lived in Germany for almost 4 years, which is where my oldest son was born. It was beautiful, I'd live there again in a heartbeat!! We moved back to the US and our marriage fell apart. I moved to Central Texas, got pregnant, got remarried and had my youngest son, though not in that order. :) After a few years, I divorced and moved home, though that ex and I have stayed pretty good friends. He's a great guy, just not for me:) I started back to school after moving home, and attended Solano Community College for 4 years. I was a communications major, competing on our nationally recognized team, and winning gold at the state competition, and bronze at the Nationals. It was an awesome experience. I am a very open, tolerant, and non-judgmental person, (though I have to work at the last part sometimes). Due to that, I'm a little hard for some folks to handle... (Ex #1). But, I have learned that I'd rather make me happy than please everyone else, and I'm happy with who I am. I have a reputation for being honest, and my friends know, I always have their back. Of course, that's easy to do when you have wonderful friends like I do:) I'm open about my history, background and beliefs, which will show more as I work on this page a little further. I'm a sarcastic mom, as my kids can tell you, but they know exactly where they stand which is a huge issue to me. The only things I want badly for them, is for them to be good people.... I want them to know, that no matter how many people you please, you are still your ultimate judge. I've learned that people who live by that concept are usually very good people... there's something to be said for being your own harshest critic. |
