The phases of the moon have always been able to influence the flow of energies. You can choose an appropriate phase of the moon when working to help guide your energies to your desired goal. In cases of emergency, it is alright to work magick not always in the appropriate phase, but it's always a bit more help. Below you will find phase explanations and a moon phase chart to help you.

New Moon: The New or Dark moon is a great time for magicks of banishing negativity or bad habits from your life, and is also a good time for starting new beginnings.
Waxing Moon: The Waxing Moon is the time when the moon is changing from New to Full and includes the different phases shown in the chart below. Magick and Rituals that are performed during this time is when you are trying to gain something or bring something into your life. This is a good time for gaining money, building on relationships and other magicks that promote growth.
Full Moon: The Full Moon is a time to celebrate Magicks such as Divination, Prophecies, Strengthen Psychic Shield, love, etc. relating to the Full Moon. Also, it is said that if you cut your hair on the Full Moon, it will grow back faster.
Waning Moon: The Waning Moon is the time when the Moon is changing from Full back to New and includes the different phases shown in the chart below. This is the time of waning yourself away from negatives. In your magickal garden, this is a great time to pull weeds, as they won't grow back near as fast.
