is the only 'natural' child Magefrost ever had. Dauthuz was conceived
within Lady Anioawn of Orbis, Magefrost's wife of the time. However,
much to his discredit, Magefrost distrusted several visions he had
experienced. When Dauthuz was born, it killed his mother, and Magefrost
was so distraught by the death of his love that he abandoned the child,
blaming it. So it was that the orphan child grew alone in the wild,
finding his own way as he discovered the extent of his powers, for on
Orbis he was God of Death, and his mother had been the first to feel his
powers. Eventually he managed to find his way to Myst, coming to find
his father and siblings, and at least come to an understanding with
them. As well as holding sway over morbid forces, Dauthuz has in his
time picked up skill with almost every instrument there is (though he
dislikes tubas), and enjoys displaying his talent. Dauthuz spends most
of his time on Orbis at his job, though since time passes differently
between the worlds he is still often seen upon Myst when he comes to
visit.
Being god of death he can take nearly any form he likes with appropriate
symbology, though he usually takes that of a young man with pale skin,
dressed in black cowboy gear, poncho, boots, and hat. He seems to be
capable of crafting in high quality nearly any musical instrument
imaginable.
