| The first time you fell in love Kyo: In the secondary school, there was a girl I liked. A small and gentle looking girl. I didn't tell anyone that I liked her but that girl's friends seem to have realized and told her. Then even before I could ask her out or tell her I liked her, I was rejected. I was very annoyed and asked myself "how did they know?" "why did they have to tell her?". After that, that girl went out with a boy in the rugby club and from then on, I have hated rugby (laugh). ++++ Kaoru: My nursery teacher. I think she had just finished university and had large eyes and was a traditional typed person. I was really happy when I could talk to her. [Would you call that you first love?] Kaoru: It may not have been love but I remember very well about that time. Once my teacher had to send me to my house. My parents couldn't come to collect me from nursery. I was really glad. Everyone looked up to the teacher so the next day I had a great urge to show off at nursery. ++++ Die: I think it was in nursery. There was a really mature girl and she used to cross her legs when she sat down. She always got told off by the teacher. That girl was the prettiest in the whole nursery so I think it was more that I wanted to know her and not really love. I was too shy to speak to her and so nothing happened. ++++ Shinya: I have forgotten [Yet again, you end the question like that! (laugh)] The first time you went on a date. Kyo: I think it was when I had just started secondary school, that I got dumped in the one day after I went out for the first time with a girl. For the first date, we took a walk somewhere near my house but the next day, I got a letter from her saying she couldn't go out with me any longer. I don't know why I was dumped and I don't remember the girl's name or face. ++++ Kaoru: I have never gone out on a proper date. [Even if you're going out with each other, you don't go on dates?] Kaoru: Not really. [How can you say that you're going out with her then? (laugh)] Kaoru: Ummmm?.I only went to the park near her house and that was about it. I don't make up my mind quickly. When you go out for dinner, you ask "where would you like to go?" and most girls say "up to you", don't they? But then I can't make up my mind asking myself "should I take her there or there?" . It just is tedious for me and her, therefore it's better to not go anywhere. [You should make a plan] Kaoru: It never goes according to planned. [You always plan it? (laugh)] Kaoru: Mostly (laugh).I have a feeling that on my first date, I went round the town shops and got very tired (laugh). ++++ Die: When I was in secondary school, 2 girls came round to my house and said "Come out for a while" and I think I walked round the block with one of the girls. Probably that girl liked me but I wasn't interested. However I still walked with her. But just out of coincidence my parents were standing outside my house and I really didn't want them to see. I was very embarassed. That was the first time I had walked with 2 girls. As well as this, my school was on top of a hill and it was decides that all couples walk home together to the station. So I wanted to do the same and although my house was in different direction to this girl I liked, I walked home with her. My heart was beating very fast. It was kind of like love at first sight with this girl. She didn't speak much and I didn't like speaking much so there were loads of uncomfortable silences. I didn't know what to talk about and even if I did speak, it was about something stupid so that she couldn't reply. It ended very soon (laugh). I even bought her a birthday present but in the summer holidays, I received a phone call saying it was over. The present was kept in my storage area for a long time. But in the third year of secondary school, she wasn't my girlfriend but I became friends with a first year girl. She asked me to give her a present so I gave her that present. I don't remember what I had bought but I thought as I had chosen the present intended for a girl, I thought it would be okay (laugh). ++++ Toshiya: On my first date, I think I went to see "Gremlins 2" in the cinema. It was embarrassing (laugh). So that we weren't seen by other secondary pupils, we met secretly (laugh). ++++ Shinya: ???
