CONAN DOYLE

       Conan Doyle modelled his famous detective on Dr Joseph Bell, a surgeon and criminal psychologist who lectured at the Edinburgh Infirmary.

       Conan Doyle was, until his death, one of the most celebrated figures of the Victorian age.
