Mysterious Musings
June 11th:
Today I'm hard at work, working on this website. Trying to get it up and running as fast as possible. Also, missing my hunny bunches! Hope he comes home soon! We had fun today, trading very "interesting" text messages. =)  Our first tropical storm of the season is bearing down on us. Should be fun. We definitely can use the rain. I love it when it rains, so I'm planning on enjoying the next few days.
June 12th:
Well, it seems this tropical storm has acquired an ego, and thinks it needs to become a hurricane. The wind is howling, and the rain is pelting against the windows here. Since I'm writing this, you know, I still have power, and that is something I'm very thankful for. Will we continue to be so lucky??? Well, who knows. Just in case I replenished the flashlight and battery supply. Can never be too prepared. I don't think my puppy, Chewy, knows what to think of all this. He seems a bit annoyed with all the rain, but he'd better get used to it, because hurricane season is just beginning. It's late here, and I'm listening to all the noises outside. It's so relaxing to me listening to the sounds of nature. I know, many people fear and hate hurricanes. Now, maybe I'm strange, but I've always found a strange beauty in them. Something in the power that is fiercely beautiful to me. Last year, I actually stayed at the beach when one was hitting. It was amazing. The winds were up to almost 100mph that day. The hotel was right on the beach, so I could see the ocean from my window. It was magnificent. The wind was picking up the waves and swirling and spraying way up into the air. I even ventured out onto the beach during one part of the storm. It took only seconds to become totally drenched. The wind was blowing the sand against my skin so hard, it felt like tiny daggers on your skin. It was such an awesome sight. Maybe I was too silly to be afraid, instead of fear I felt awe. It was one of the most gorgeous and magnificent sights I've ever seen in my life.
July 4th:
Happy 4th of July!
July 6th:
So, it's been an interesting day, in fact, actually it's been a wonderful day! I was supposed to be northward bound today, but there we some obstacles that left me behind. I must admit though, I'm not one bit disappointed about being here. So, I missed out on one thing, and got something even better. It's nice when life works out that way. :-)
