A woman dies just down the street,
police find her killer, but they set him free.
The experts say he was out of his head,
there's no way this big star would want someone dead.
Then there's the child-man who likes little boys
he lures them with alcohol, money and toys.
The jury makes their fortune, writing books, doing interviews;
pronouncing him innocent, now he's walking loose.
There's a man sitting in a cell, tomorrow he will die.
He's just a simple working man, 2 kids, a pregnant wife.
He knows he isn't guilty, the wrong place at the wrong time;
but he'll be dying anyway, cause the jury wasn't colorblind.
The man in black with a Bible, steps in to say a prayer,
but he can't help but wonder if the preacher man even cares.
The executioner raises the needle, slides it into the vein
he dies, his wife cries, while the real killer strikes again.
So, where is Lady Justice, has she become a whore?
Have the scales been weighted against those who are poor?
Just like the hooker whose services money buys
the court has sold her body, to the richest, famous guy.
The big star goes free, while the little man is screwed;
she leaves him violated, broken, and bruised.
"beyond reasonable doubt", "innocent til prove guilty" they advise
seems that Lady Justice has become a hooker in disguise. |
