I walk along a jaded path choosing solitude as my companion. Emerging from the shadows, you stop me with sacchrine words and promises of friendship. Blinded by the sun, I welcome you to walk with me, offering you what little I possess, helping you when the path grows rocky. Further along, it is I who stumbles. Bruised and bleeding from the jagged rocks I reach out to you, pleading for help. You hold out your hand. I grasp it, as you slide your diamond dagger in my back. |
