The Moon Blade

Background:

Centuries ago the land was plagued by a meteorite shower. The shower virtually destroyed everything on the surface. Most of the falling rocks were burnt up in the heavens, but even the gods could not prevent it. Centuries later Thunor, the master smith, discovers one of those rocks.

            Try as he might he was unable to get the rock to meld with other ores to create useable steel. Frustrated beyond all comprehension he decides to do something no other Dwarven master smith has ever done before, he goes to the Elves for help. There he learns how to meld the meteorite rock with Elf steel. After months of hard work and endless hours he crafted an exceptional masterwork long sword. Not wanting to let his creation be incomplete he even let the Elves enchant the blade. “Here is the angel sent by the heavens centuries ago” Thunor said. The Elf Enchanter known as Saval said “No, this shining silver blade shall forever more be known as Celebriän.”
            Saval continued his work on the blade and Thunor could only look on as a spectator. He did however give birth to the unique bonding of Elf steel, Dwarf craftsmanship, and unique ores to create a strange yet beautiful moon blade known as Celebriän. Celebriän has been kept by the baron until recently when he gave the blade to a young knight, E’Ze. It seems the blade and the knight are a good team, but the blade seems to have issues with it’s elven master, E’Ze.

            The blade has become sentient and is fully awaken, a rare but unique condition among elven blades. Celebriän only speaks to E’Ze, but E’Ze says Celebriän is conflicted due to its elf and dwarf heritage. Celebriän calls Thunor ‘papa’ and Saval ‘mother’, even though Saval is a male. It seems Celebriän has no idea what gender is only who created it.

            Celebriän is a very young blade, not even a century old. It has a personality to match. Its child like nature has proven inconvenient for its current wielder on a number of occasions, but it has never refused to work; only becoming awkward at times. It is the youngest moon blade known.

Abilities:

Celebriän is a +1 sonic moon blade. It is the only moon blade crafted by a non elf. The blade is virtually indestructible and the blade seems to have the ability to grow with its user. The blade can be further imbued by its owner. It has all the normal abilities of a moon blade. Use the GP/XP chart below to determine how to increase Celebriän abilities. Celebriän also adds +1d6 sonic damage when a specific command word is given, but due to the loud sound it can not be used to sneak up on a target when activated.
