Mother;
I'm sorry I wasn't able to send all the letters immediately. We have been busy. I am going to keep this extremely brief. So I will finish that story I was telling you about.
They met two new individuals. Lundin a gnome wizard (rare, even the Baron noted he hadn't seen of his kind in a long time) and NNC the human cleric, hmm I seem to have forgotten that character's name. Oh, well on with the story. The daring band of adventurers debated at great length to determine which route was best for their party, even though it was stifling hot and very uncomfortable in the cave below the Abbey.
The party, after they finished talking to the monks they decided to go down the tunnel towards the drow elves. So off they went in their new marching order. They finally came to a bend in the tunnel when they heard a noise. The daring knight, the cautious rogue, the courageous ranger see a strange beast, a Braxit. It looked like a rhino that had been corrupted by the taint and mixed with a good dose of demon blood. For some strange reason the rogue was totally stunned by the beast, so the knight charged forward and engaged the beast. Lucky for her it missed her, but not the next time. The rest of the party stood back. The ranger moved the rogue, the druid cast a light spell, but the cleric and wizard both summoned creatures (bear and a badger) to help attack the braxit. Both animals made good their attacks, the knight pressed the attack and struck numerous times, but still the evil creature stood. Finally, the ranger was about to enter the battle, when the bear savagely killed the creature.
The party healed their wounded and the rogue finally snapped out of his stunned self. They continued down the tunnel even more cautious than before. Around the corner they find a huge empty cavern. The bard, wizard, and cleric hung back, while the ranger, rogue, battle sorcerer, father, and knight moved cautiously forward. Suddenly, the ranger is attacked by an invisible drow. Hurt but not dead she attacks back, but only wounded him. The father and the sorcerer both are attacked. Then suddenly the drow mage casts a mystic spell at the sorcerer while another drow attacks the knight. The knight cuts the drow down with not one but two devastating attacks, then moves up and kills the drow on the ranger. The ranger charges in and helps the father and the sorcerer. When again another drow attacks the knight, but she dispatches the drow. The drow mage turns invisible and suddenly a drow priestess appears and attacks the father. Meanwhile the rogue is engaged in an invisible battle with a drow archer that seriously hurting him and they both engage in some serious archery, but the drow gets away. Suddenly, the drow mage appears and casts a lightning bolt at both the ranger and the knight, hurting both. Thankfully, the cleric moved up and healed both of them. Then the knight drinks her potion of invisibility and disappears.
During the battle somehow the druid finds herself along with the wizard and the cleric in a pitched battle with numerous drow. She doesn't even use her flaming scimitar attempting to just keep the drow off of herself. Meanwhile, the sorcerer bulrushes the mage, luckily the knight managed not to get run over by both of the grabbling mages. Then, she appears and grabs the drow mage's foot and engages in a nasty ankle lock. Futher, the sorcerer continues to bash the drow mage using his own head. Then, another drow attacks the knight, but thankfully it missed her. She retaliates and leg sweeps the drow knocking him down, but looses her grip on the mage, but she just cuts the drow down in a familiar deadly double edge pattern.
During the battle the father and ranger kills the drow priestess along with numerous attacking drow. Somehow, the wounded rogue gets back with the rest of the party just as the wizard, cleric, bard, and druid kill off the rest of the attacking drow. The rogue is very disgusted that the drow got away and fears retaliation in the future. The party finally get back to civilization.
There at fortress along with the numerous human, dwarf, and elf comrades preparing for war with the evil orcs they meet some familiar faces. So ends the story of the adventurers who battled the evil orcs, orc mages, and survived the dangerous monster and drow filled caverns below the holy abbey.
I hope you enjoyed the story. I hope to have more of these human adventure stories to share with you in the future.
Sincerely,
E'Ze
